I often have the tendancy to look at a military air craft and compare it to a vehicle by what it can do and where it can go and how it looks. For instance:
The A-10 comes across like the old reliable pick-up truck. She ain't real pretty, but she can carry just about anything you could ask for and get it any where you need it. It's not real fast, but it gets the job done. The driver is rarely, if ever, affraid of getting it dirty, (frankly, I think it runs better when it is dirty), and "OFF-ROAD" seems to be where it's really in it's element. I've seen Hawg's come back to DM during Monsoon season with mud clods the size of apples on it's back and chunks of Catus hanging from her wheels. I've seen them taxi in the sand and one even ran off the DM runway, out into the dirt and then like nothing had happend, came right up onto the ramp again. A little dusty, but still running like a charm.
So, what do you think? What AC would you compare to what vehicle and why? F-16s...C-130s...F-22 Be creative and have fun.
