Two days at Leeuwarden ab. First day a grey day and a flat tyre for the number 5 of the Blue Angels, so had to land. Get out of his plane and take the double seater and than was the show started. Because the BA celebrate their 60 anniversery did they a fly past with the Red Arrows. Unique! Fat Albert on the next (very warm and sunny so I got burned in the sun..ouch) day did his JATO start, great to see it again. Our F-16 demoteam was also great. Hunters from Switserland (private) did a good show. Patrouile de France and Patrouille de Schwiss both give a (maybe better than BA)show.
Yes it was good to be there. You can see here some pictures made by a friend of mine http://www.leoplanes.com/leeuwarden/thu ... hp?album=2

Salute Dutchy

I tell you, I stand next to a group from Germany. Nice guys and a very nice and good looking girl,in a orange T-shirt with the text Holland, because they want no trouble in the Netherlands with the soccer championship.

Actually, it was Christian Moullec from Canada. The geese are all orphans and grew up with him. Fasinating to see how they performed changing formation several times after just a simple hand signal of Christian.

Dave, weather only was perfect on the Saturday. Please don't ask about the days prior. <img src=newicons/anim_puke.gif border=0 align=middle>

Also the Hogs from Spangdahlem didn't attend.....<img src=icon_smile_sad.gif border=0 align=middle>

Besides above negative points it sure was a good show and great to have the Blues and the F-15E solo display over. <img src=icon_smile_approve.gif border=0 align=middle>

Christian Moullec was not from Canada but from France. (but that doesn't matter at all). The show was fun to see.

Only one thing. The F-15 solo display was great, but next time the original speaker as in Schweiz/Swisterland like 2004. That guy is so much better.

Next stop for me: Spangdahlem at the first of July.<img src=newicons/icon_hog.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>
