That's The \"Secret Question????\" IP, Ok that might be alittle hard so I'll make it easier. The 3 Jets are Owned (Were) Rockwell and Maintained by Civilian contractors (That answers another question on \"What was Goose Doing there\"??? It had something to do with my Jet. They were Contracted to the USAF. Now \"What Kind of Aircraft were they?\" \"What was their Mission\"? Give you a Hint, Their Stationed on an Island in the Pacific. ( ![]() I know some of you \"Phantom\" Guys know as well as the \"Old Beagle Keepers\" (Look at the ZZ picture and the Stars and Bars then you'll see what time period and What Series of Beagles were talking). If the \"Ex\" would of let me have ALL MY PICTURES back I had some great ones of engine changes and close-ups. IP did you notice the JASDF F-4 FLT line?? What is Different than a USAF Flt line? I wish it had been Sunny ,but what is Sunshine in Southern Japan except 2 weeks in July and mid winter. I have some \"GAFB CA \" pic's too to post IP of WW and of Calf ANG Charlie Model F-4''s with Dragonfly's in the picture from out East from a ANG unit I'll send you if you want them too. Goose |

Coach got it right and I'll give the location too it's Kadena AB Okinawa . Those were some Great looking F-86 I think N models one of the last made ones, the ones They last sold the Canadians . Rockwell Built plus being the makers of the Saber-liners&SaberJets Rockwell used alot of left over parts from the F-86 to build the T-39's , so Kadena was \"Queen Bee\"for all the PACAF & the AFCC bird. USAF ran it ,but you had Rockwell tech reps on hand plus parts and they also dealt with some of the systems on all the other weapons systems in PACAF in the area (AF,Navy,Marines,Army etc..) 1 came back IFE with a UN retractable cable with the dart still in tow that wouldn't release, talk about \"Sparks\" it finally broke loose on the runway but the cable did some damage to the jet. The other thing is if you look at the JASDF F-4J's lined up, their all different . I was down there that day as the \"Flying CC\" for a \"PU\" back to Yokota for a group of Officers who had been exchanging time with their host counter parts. So being the only enlist guy there I hung out with the JN CC's until they found me. The JASDF WCC gave me a tour of the jets on the line and explained to me that \"The paint their Jets with a varying camo pattern to match the terrain instead of all the same color. Plus they had a \"F-1\" Fighter on the ramp they had aquired. I'm still looking for that picture. It was painted as a PRC Jet without the STAR So I got to see between the JASDF & USAF over almost every jet you could think of. F-15J,Martain PBY,T-33, F-104,F4J,F4C,RF4,F4E,F4G,F-15B,F-5E,C-1's,C-160's,EC-130's,AC-130's,F-86's,SR-71,U-2,B-52,KC-135,EC-135,PC-3,A-,F-14,EA-6,A-7,C-130,C-5,C-141,C-9,CT-39A,ET-39A,CT-39G,C-21A,C-12A,UH-1N,CH-53,VC1(AF 1) (MARINE 1)MIG-21,MIG-17,MIG15 a ring neck pheasnt 2 sparrows,a big bird in my intake and bird shit on my window. !! ![]() Hey for a just turned 20 year old on his 2nd assignment Ihad it made. I hope everyone had an assignment like that one atleast once. Now England AFB that was another world that was the USAF. Goose |

That's right Thug you were all over that area too and still are. I miss going down to Kadena and get put up downtown for 30 days during Queen Bee,($$$) Going over to the RF-4 area had some friends there hung out in their break room and then over too the Beagle Pound , but then they would come over with their \"Tongues\" dragging when I had \"Roses from Paint shop do her \"Corrosion Control Inspection Cards\" that took 3 days on a T-39to inspect then she would have to primer and he=paint areas after the inspection. A V-Neck T-shirt ![]() The good days Goose |

I miss the Crew Chiefs and SRA,s getting their ass Kicked by the Prod Super, Cause Joe Blow Airman is in his Roller blades and a Poncho during Typhoon season, doing 60kmh down the taxiway like Batman! I once posted up a Sign at Kadena that Said \"Dogs and Marines, stay off the Grass, By order of XXXXXXX\" The Marine Pilots overflowing into our BOQ's went apeshit over that. Good Times Intercepting another Squadrons \"Bitburger Pils\" Keg Relays from Europe to Italy, Italy to Korea. Then do the midnight sneak hop over to Korea from Kadena to steal it in a B Model.... I did alot of dumb shit way back when! Good Times at Kadena. |

Put a \"O-6\" plaque in the window wear your \"Special Blue Duty\" uniform and make sure the \"Passengers\" were safe and like the A/C said \"Hey Chief, We both would like a bottle of Wild Turkey and get something for yourself too while your at it\" and \"Chief\" \"Yes Cap\"? \"I'm sure you can do it so it doesn't , \"Mess-up the Box\". ![]() Those were Good Times!!!
