I think that might be the Sukhoi S-37, not to be confused with the Su-37.

it's the S-37 Berkut, it is getting re-winged to a regular Flanker wing. They found out the same things we did with X-29, FSW is only marginally more maneuverable , produces more drag, is heavier and more expensive to build. Just not worth the effort.

What ever it is, Im sure it could give the best the US can offer, those forward swept wings mean for greater agility, as it makes the aircraft highly unstable, so computers are needed. It is indeed a VERY nice fighter. now have them as forward swept variable geometry wings, forward for combat, back for landing and take off, now that would be interesting.

actually FSW doesnt do much of anything, see above post.
