We've been saying the same thing about getting home. Looks like it might be about 6 weeks, though. What kind of paintings do you do and what info do you need. I've had some pretty interesting missions in what little time we've had to fly them.
<hr height=1 noshade id=quote></BLOCKQUOTE id=quote></font id=quote><font face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica" size=2 id=quote>

I do mainly watercolors, but I will probably do our squadron's 'Operation Iraqi Freedom' art in oils. I want to do enough of them so that every one of our pilots who was over there can say, "That's me in that painting." We don't have enough art to fill up the walls in our recently renovated squadron bar (The Hog Pen, of course) so I figured I'd do something to rectify that. I also intend to do small 8x10 paintings of the aircraft our squadron has previously flown, all the way back to 1924...but that will be a project over the coming years.

I'd be happy to get some details from you when you come back, and perhaps have one of my paintings hanging in the 'Cereal Killers' bar back at the 'Creek. If you have details of a mission flown with PA and MI jets on the same sortie, that would be huge.

Look forward to you guys coming home.

Hey, that names copyrighted! <img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle> well, I guess it would be hard to hold that copyright up in court, now wouldn't it. <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

Ugly but well hung!

I know I've had many sorties with a mix of BC and PA jets. I'm sure I could come up with something interesting. I'll see what I can find out and I'll let you know.

LOL - sorry Dice! It's been called that for quite some time...no official sign to that end, but that's what the pilots call it. The street sign hung from the hallway ceiling outside the door says "THUNDERBOLT AVE". I'm sure that somewhere in southeastern PA, a town is missing its Thunderbolt Avenue sign, another casualty of the 103rd FS LPA....

They sure have Goose. It is hard to keep up with the Hog while stationed at a "Viper" base.

I came up with that name in 1998 when I opened my site, it didn't take to much imagination I guess, knida' natural to the Warthog name.

I have one of the street signs also (they were being sold on Ebay) but my is "A-10 Warthog Drive", I bet yours came from the same place.

Well if you guys ever do put-up a sign be sure to send me a pic, would be nice on my site to show an A-10 pilots bar named after my site...or would that be my site named after an A-10 pilots bar..either way it would be cool! <img src=icon_smile_cool.gif border=0 align=middle>

Thunderbolt Ave is the road that the 75th FS used be on whenthey were in the trailers at Pope. I believe that's where that sign comes from.

Well Coach, you can come up and get it! I'll buy the beer! You missed my promotion party last Saturday. Still haven't had a naming ceremony up here, but then again everyone is deployed.
