Still job hunting. I took a position as a PSA at my local Lowe's store, and trying to keep up with 2 kids half my age. The job sucks but at least it's positive cash flow and I get to keep my house for the time being.
My wife hits her 18 month benchmark for being in remission next month. She was diagnosed with Acute Myloid Leukimia in the summer of 2011, and spent nearly 6 months going through chemo. Once she's past the 18 month mark, her chances for the AML coming back drop dramaticly.
Perry, best of luck on the closing and with the baby. It sounds like you are jumping into the deep end. As one who has owned 2 houses and who does most of his own work on them, feel free to hit me up with any questions about home maint you might have. I spent a good bit of last summer re-wiring the garage and installing a shower and moving the water softener in our WY home. I don't know much about young'ins, but I do know electrical, plumbing, landscapeing, and structural. I have even minded a few shingles over the years. I'm always happy to help.
