If you want a TV made in America it's going to cost you 5x more than one made overseas goose.

That's the real reason jobs leave America. We expect to make $20 an hour for a job that someone else will do for $1 an hour.

And isn't it better to hire illegals and have them at least contribute to the tax base than for them to not work and collect welfare?

Look at the damage the Dems did to the economy and military during their 8 year stint in control.

The simple fact is that there is not enough money to go around, and we are engaged in a fight to the death with radical Islam. It's either pay for the war, or pay for VA bennies.

We can't have both...and one is far, far, far more important than the other.

First of all, how does thinking about myself make me a commie? Commie's think about everyone as a whole.

Second of all, I don't understand how you can criticize me for looking out for my best interests and expressing my opinion, which is my constitutional right.

A socailist and a communist are not the same thing.

Israel is socailist, so is most of Western Europe.

If you're looking out for yourself and not what's best for the country as a whole than you're being selfish. Even still, when it comes to supporting Israel the Repubs are CLEARLY the party that does that.

And as for the R or D supporting Israel, I like what Bush is doin, and I'd vote for him regardless of what his party affiliation was.

Socailism is like 'Commie light', it's communism without the political murder and totalitarian central gov't.(though it can degrade to that if not watched, just as republicanism can degrade to socailism if not watched).

If you are offended that the Democratic party's platform is a platform of Socailism then i don't know what to tell you...because that's exactly what it is.

But you are an American. If socailism is your desire, you do have the right to vote as you see fit. I still feel it my duty to at least present the alternative to you.

Historicly BR, the Republican party has been Israel's staunchest ally in America. Certainly it is the case today.

no no no, "commun"ism is a group of people living in a "commun"ity working together and helping each other out when nessesary (think Amish or perhaps a Kibutz (spelling?) or really any REAL small town(like mine). You have no real leader just a common set of ideas on how to go about things. I dont have a plow so my neighbor does any plowing I need. I do electricle work or small engine stuff or welding when they need it and so on, basicly a freindly bartor system.

What the Soviets and Chinese did was facsism under the guise of "brotherhood" and "communism". They redistributed and controlled the wealth (into the pockets of the leaders) for the "greater good", a slippery slope at best, and murdered anyone who dissagreed or was just in the way.

I would. The owner and stockholders all also have their money on the line too. Their families are also at stake.

I dont know where it all changed guys, somewhere back in the late nineteenth century I think, but its really irrelevant. The grand thing about voting used to be the fact that party lines were drawn in black and white. There was a time when a person could go to the polls and vote down party lines and know that his conscience would be clear even if he or she didnt know anything about the candidates. But the world isnt big anymore, its a small world. And there are a lot of people that arent the same. In our effort to be free and kind and compassionate we have allowed beliefs and practices to creep into our society that singly cause no harm but collectively wrench our society in a thousand different directions. Because of these and a thousand other things, there are no more clear party lines and votes get thrown away on what some people call "pragmatic voting" or on stupid single issue votes like gun rights, or abortion. Unfortunately gentlemen there is no cure and I fear we are on the road that so many other great nations have trod down before us.
That is just of course a very humble opinion.
