Susan Anton visited Barksdale in 2001 and signed the door for this CC..wonder if this door still has her signature on it??

I once saw a special about the U-2 on A&E, "Behind Closed Doors" with Joan Lunden. She even got an incentive flight in it. I was livid when I saw this, thinking 'Man, how many troops have worked that never to get a ride in it, and here she just walks along and gets a ride' (When the pilot said 'uh-oh we lost AC' she even said she thought air conditioning, not AC power) Anyway, at the end of the show she went in the nose (or main for U-2 folks) gear well and signed "Joan Lunden Behind Closed Doors" I became even more furious after seeing that. I mentioned it the next day to a friend of mine who used to crew the Duece. He was at Beale at the time and he said he felt the same way as me, and if fact rememebred something I found quite hilarious. He said after she left, the DCC wasnt too happy about it either, and wrote above it "I did". <img src=newicons/anim_lol.gif border=0 align=middle> Wonder if anything did something along those lines with this door.

ROFL great story jackb!! Yea, I saw a number of celebs get rides while CC's and DCC's had to smile and act like they were happy.

I got a copy of that video with Joan Lunden when I went through U-2 fam course. It was fun listening to her reaction when there was a problem with the aircraft.
