Tampa Bay Buccaneers owner Malcom Glazer has bought a controlling interest in the Manchester United Football Club. The question around the world is why? In Europe it's why did this happen? Why is an American now in control with this historic team. Here in the states its why the hell would anyone want to actually pay money for a soccer team. The big question remain, exactly what was he thinking?

long time ago the only soccer on television here was the West German soccer league ( I think that's what they called it) on PBS. Seems every game was BM verses somebody, usually Manchester United or so it seemed lol

A Friend of Mine, American by Birth, But Raised in spain. Played soccor for Spain, and recently Played for the K.C.Wizards, and Almost started playing for SLC REAL. Problem with MLS in the US is that it is not large enough to pay the athletes when their injured. They are only payed when they are on the Game Day roster. This forces the Talented athletes like my buddy (car injury) to get out of their contract and go back to europe.
