I made the Super Bowl in one of my fantasy football leagues and am in bit of a crisis. My starting QB's have been going down in droves. I started with Kerry Collins, yanked him, used Drew Bledsoe, yanked him, went with Marc Brunnell, yanked him...Thought I had the issued settled with Mark Bulger before he got hurt, picked up Kurt Warner off the waiver wire, he did well for a few weeks then he blew is knee up...

My roster looks like this.

QB: Marc Brunnell
Drew Bledsoe

RB: Tiki Barber
Corey Dillon
Tatum Bell
Willie Parker

WR: Tory Holt
Marcus Robinson
Armani Toomer

TE: Heath Miller
Chris Cooley

K: Lawrence Tynes

DST: NY Giants
Pittsburgh Steeler

I am trying to decide whether to start Parker or Bell as my 3rd tailback, both have been inconsistent but both can put up good numbers on occasion.

I have no idea who to start at QB, both Bledsoe and Brunnell have been way inconsistent but, last week Brunnell kicked ass....

Probably gonna start 2 Tight Ends and 2 WR's this week, Miller and Cooley have been touchdown machines this season...

Comments and Advice is very welcome.

Thanks guys...

BTW The New England is going to repeat as Super Bowl champs...They are getting healthy, and they always play better in the playoffs...Sea Hawks will represent the NFC, but lose in a close game. Indy will go the way of last years Steelers and the 1998 Vikings, 15-1 or 14-2 and a playoff loss...my 2 cents and fearless forcasts. I felt this way prior to San Diego ending the Colts dream season bid, I am just not very sold on Peyton Manning...He kicks ass when up by 10, but when it comes down to cruch time Brady is the best in the bizz IMHO.

I'm in the Super Bowl for both 12-man leagues I'm in, if that gives any credibility whatsoever.

I'd start Parker, he's looking for 1100 yards. I'm a Cleveland fan but their rush D is near the bottom of the league. If he can get 17 carries I'll bet he gets 100 yards...they're that bad. Bettis gets a few carries and Staley is a chump. Tatum Bell hasn't performed well from a fantasy perspective since week 8.

WR: Holt and Toomer

QB: I agree with Brunnell

TE: They both rock. Miller may be less productive than usual. Cleveland's pass D is near the top of the AFC but if PIT gets ahead they'll likely keep rushing the ball into the weak CLE front line. One thing you have going for you is that PIT is playing for its playoff life as well as the fact that CLE is they're most-hated, if not biggest rival.

DST: Hate to start too many Steelers, but they are a good play against CLE and Charlie Fry's 3rd NFL start and only his second potential complete game.

That being said, my technique has been to pick-up whatever DST is playing Houston and JAC may be available in your league.

All this being said, I'll be rooting heavily for Cleveland as they're my team as well as the fact that I am forced to start Charlie Fry in one league.

Good luck...

Thanks for the gouge Warthog...

I meant to give you a congrats on your Browns beating my beloved Raidahs...Not much of a game unless you are a loyal fan of both teams. Trust me I have tried to severe my ties with Oakland, but I guess once your loyal, your loyal. Just out of curiosity what do your roster(s) look like?

No sweat. My lineups are as follows:

League #1 League #2

Charlie Fry or David Garrard Jake Plummer
Edge (Bench this week) Edge or Ricky Williams
Larry Johnson Larry Johnson
Tiki Barber Antonio Bryant
Joey Galloway Amani Toomer
Jimmy Smith Antonio Gates
Steve Heiden or Ben Troupe Nate Kaeding
Browns DST Jags DST
Phil Dawson

A little Browns bias that I may change...

I was a big time homer, most of my teams had a Raiders bias, which was fine when Rich Gannon, Charlie Garner, and Tim Brown where fantasy studs... Hasn't helped me much of late, Its hard for me to get excited about Kerry Collins, picked him up in the 8th round in this years draft.

I think Garrard will nab some points this week, I picked him and Ryan Fitzpatrick up today on the waiver wire, just in case I change my mind last minute about Brunnell...Good luck with your Super Bowl(s) Warthog.

ESPN classic had a program on the other night titled "5 reasons you cannot blame Ernest Byner for The Drive" Cleveland had some great teams in the mid to late 80's, to bad Martyball was the MO back then. With that talent Sam Rutiglanio may have won a Super Bowl, I loved watching the "Cardiac Kids" back in the day. Not sure why Bill Billichick didn't experience the success he has recentley had in New England as the Brown's head coach. I still remember that Oakland/Cleveland playoff game back in 1980...The same year Oakland dogged Snipes Eagles in the Super Bowl, lol...

I remember watching "Red Right 88" when I was 9 years old. I also vividly remember "The Drive" and "The Fumble". The mid-late 80's Browns are my favorites of all time...Bernie Kosar, Kevin Mack, Earnest Byner, Clay Matthews, Hanford Dixon....the birth of the Dawgpound.

I also remember when Belichik was there and thinking how terrible he was. Boy, was I wrong.

I really liked the Raiders as a kid...never a fan but always liked Jim Plunkett and Bo Jackson later. He was unstoppable in Tecmo Bowl!

lol...Tecmo Bowl. I remember Joe Montana with the 9ers and that unstoppable slant to Rice. Walter Payton with the Bears and Bo Jackson where the weapons to use...I wore out two of those games...

Fun times...

Up by 30 with Corey Dillon still left in the tank, unless his 3 wide recievers (Boldin, Bobby Engram, and Darrell Jackson) come up big, I should cruise....He ironicaly has Steve Smith who got ejected...Never been so happy to see a personal foul penalty in my life...lol

Nice job! I won one and lost the other. My home-team bias kileld me. In my league, DST starts with 25 points and goes up or down from there based on performance. I normally score 30-45 points between DST and the kicker...Phil Dawson and the Browns DST cored me -1!

Congrats and Merry Christmas...

Well Corey Dillon added me 18 points to complete the blowout. I feel sorry for the dude I was playing, he spent the whole year killing our league. He swept the regular season series with my team and was busy talking smack in the playoffs on what a fantasy genius he was. I reminded him that General Patton rated luck as the best virtue to have as a field general...lol, glad I was lucky this week. His roster was loaded, with Larry Johnson, LaDanian Tomlinson, LaMont Jordan, Steve Smith and Carson Palmer. I invested in Tight Ends this year with late round picks, paid off for me in the end. I had a few weeks where I started 3 TE's and they netted more points than the opposition's WR's.

The wife is probably glad my season is over...I suscribed to NFL Sunday Ticket, with the 8 game split screen option...Good stuff for my living room command and control center, lol. Football started Sunday Morning and 8 a.m. my time, and didn't end untill after the Monday Night game.

BTW...my prayers are with Tony Dungy and his family, always have been a big fan of the caliber of that man.

What are yout thoughts on a WT Fantasy League...Warthog?

That would rule, if we could find 8-12 folks to play. I'd be willing to run it simce I'll be at Osan all by my lonesome next year.

I had the Sunday Ticket too, and though I didn't watch every game, I watched a lot of them due to Fantasy Football!

Cheers...
