Hey Bro,
I had my first mission with the Patriot Guard Riders this weekend. It was actually hosted by Rolling Thunder and the the Town of Morrison. Not a protest, just a memorial service for Sgt Matt Maupin of Morrison who, although was taken prisoner 2 years ago, is now listed as MIA instead of POW. This allows the military to say, they have no POW's, just MIA's. Anyway, it was a great ride for a non-rider like me and the riders in the group really made me feel accepted and welcome. It's really a great group of people, both the PGR and the folks from Rolling Thunder.

I added a post to the PGR site, complete with pics if you'er interested.

Hey thanks for the info Ice. I have been lucky as no one in my area has been KIA or no vets near here have needed us. I am watching this one though, if I can I will attend this one.

An Army soldier with Fayetteville ties died in Iraq on Saturday, his parents said.

Staff Sgt. Darrell Clay, 34, was killed when a homemade bomb exploded, his father, David Clay, said. He had been in the country for a month, although his parents did not know which city he was in.

Before going to Iraq, Darrell Clay was stationed in Germany, his father said.

Darrell Clay grew up in Fayetteville, where his parents live, and joined the Army Reserve during his junior year at Seventy-First High School. He graduated in 1990 and attended Shaw University in Raleigh for one year, David Clay said. After that, he decided to be in the Army full time.

David Clay said his son had been in Germany for the past five years.
