Thought you guys might want to hear my latest report: So i "luckily" had surgery on my wisdom teeth this morning, i had all 4 impacted teeth causing a lot of pain. Now they are out and i'm still in pain......ok so it has not been 24 hours yet, and the vicadan they gave me helps but anyone have any clue how long this discomfort lasts? All i know is that i took a few days off from work and spent the day today watching all 6 of the star wars movies in order and taking my pain meds every 4 hours (leving me in this "strange haze" lol) By the end of the 6th movie i could sware that i was a Jedi.....thats not normal right lol? When they removed mine at the "Medical Hobby Shop" they put the needle in my arm and I was f*cked up like instantly. I woke up about 6 hours later on my couch back at home. They gave me percoset and vicoden, but neither had much affect on me. All my teeth came out fine though. I also didn't get any days off of work. I scheduled myslef to get them removed on a Tuesday so I would get off 1/2 of Tuesday, and then Wednesday and Thursday, but my Flight Chief very kindly rescheduled it to Friday, so I had Saterday and Sunday off. It won't last oo long. I didn't eat hard food for like a week, and make sure you don't use a staw, or you can get a dry socket. They say that the only two things certain in life are death and taxes. I prefer them in that order. |

Yeah stay away from straws...Mine lasted a day or so..I was drinking beer and eating nacho's at a Seattle Mariners game 3 days later. |

I hope you get better fast Lady, I never had a cavity etc... so I dont know what that feels like. I just have Facial sezuries but I got good "STUFF" for that pain! But I wouldnt want what you had to go thru! That's too much pain for me! Goose LIVE FREE OR DIE |

HAHA I remember having my Wisdom teeth and tonsils pulled out the same week, then doing the Gas Chamber for CS training the following week. Gotta Love the Marine Corps! Medication was clove strips where the wisdom tooth once were, 800mg Motrin (Marine Corps M&M's) ..and they wonder where hard ass's like me come from.... While I was in active duty they pulled two of mine, and only provided me with Tylenol for the pain and sent me back to work. I lasted about 2 hours at work when novacaine started wearing off and I just couldn’t take it any longer. Told my Flight chief that it was getting unbearable and he told me to go home and take the rest of the day off. After getting home I decided to fix the problem and started consuming beer and good old Jack Daniels… after that I didn’t even remember having my teeth pulled. capche-capche da - we go forward together Faugh ah Ballaugh -Clear The Way- |

I got them out on this October F*ck shit i am still feeling weird back their<img src=newicons/anim_cussing.gif border=0 align=middle> I had to get them surgically removed under my gums, like my friend said “OH yeah you got your teeth ripped out from under your skin…” I got 1 anesthetic suave then 2 general anesthetic shorts ( needle ) then The SCARY Fat Major Needle anesthetic shot for Each tooth. For better of for worst, they did not put me to sleep. I got the bottom two taken out, I was supposed to get the top two taken out, that had already come out? Stupid specialist!<img src=newicons/anim_cussing.gif border=0 align=middle> To top it off, since I have huge teeth, they could not get my left wisdom tooth out. I mean he could not get it out, the pliers he used slipped off trying to get it our 3 times!!! He had to move the teeth around under my gums so I would move!!! OH and he did it all in less than 15 MINUTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I went straight home and stayed their. My dad (Who was undergoing radiology treatment for prostate cancer )and mom went to the pharmacy to get the 2 pain drugs and Penicilin and anti-inflammatory drugs, it took 2F*cken hours, 2F*cken hours by that time ALL THE PAIN WAS THEIR!!!!!!!!!!! <img src=newicons/anim_cussing.gif border=0 align=middle> <img src=newicons/anim_cussing.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=newicons/anim_cussing.gif border=0 align=middle> They didn’t give me vicaden , so it took about another HOUR to for the pain to go away!!!
