if it was not for the hurricanes we would be perfect. All winter been wearing short sleeves, sunny, light breeze, little rain. Today temps were about 70 degrees. |

YOu can have my drafting table. i'll tell you what is ridiculous. Pro Engineer $52,000 Surfcam $15,000 Solidworks $8000 Pc to run it all...$900.00 The look on the banks face when i tell them i need a New Dongle (USB Security Device) when i proceed to tell them it was dropped into a storm drain in front of the bank...PRICELESS! I Had to fill out a police report (cops were shocked) send this too the ProE dealer..and request a new Dongle. and yes pay another $26,000 for it TO play in the Design Engineering game today...ya gotta pay. So... do you think i will cry if someone steals my Drafting Table...nope... But if you come near my Dongle... ...Hell hath no fury like the scorn of a ripped off Engineer! hahahahaha Dongle.. the License Ignition Switch to the software. If ya wanna play ya gotta have the key! Dongles used to be a nightmare for us to manage. We've moved over to IP based licence tokens for all our big stuff like PDMS but we've still got some of these little ba***rds knocking about. I see you've done the right thing by attaching it to your car keys. The amount of times we had offices turned over and the manager would say, don't worry, they've only stolen 12 £1,500 workstations. And then we'd remind them they had about £30k's worth of dongle in the back of each one LOL... We've even had old CAD stations donated to schools etc with the dongle still in the back..! Some of the designers who were doing work for others on the side used to take them home to their own CAD stations at home and do freelance in the evenings. All in all we're glad to see the back of them. You're born, you keep your head down and you die. If you're lucky... |

The Flight Sim Yoke and Multi Engine Throttle are products of a Southern California Company by the name of www.chproducts.com . These happen to be on display in my office due to the fact, that My buisness is primarily Plastic mold Injection with Outsource Machining capacity. I have been involved with ChProducts on differnt levels through the Years. Flight Sim Consulting, Controller design and featuresets, And now designing the new controllers which has started this month. Their HOTAS gear is top notch. I think i sent a set to Warthog 30 and possibly Tiny Giant a While back. I also sent a set to Marlin at the 47thFS (BARKSDALE) for their FAC LAB. I've not had to use any other controller since I recieved my first set. I have a Thrustmaster Cougar (copy F16 BLK52 hardware) that serves as a Dust detector for the past 6 years.
