Well I can hardly wait until Saturday. I am riding down to the Heritage Motorcycle Rally in Charleston, SC with the base riders association. We are going to stay for the Lynyrd Skynyrd concert and then ride home in the evening. Looking forward to the whole day except the ride home in the dark. No, I am not scared of the dark however I am scared of the those furry, four legged critters that have a habit of jumping out in front of motorcycles. Anyway hope all the hoglets have a great weekend. http://www.heritagemotorcyclerally.com/

P.S. Do I have any requests for pics upon my return? I know several builders will be there for a biker build off.

No, Snipe wouldn't own a motorcycle.....besides his car can beat most of them anyway!

The deuce belongs to my stepdad and its fun to ride on.....but i stick to my 4-wheeled toys, i don't have that "tough harley chick" image anyways <img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>

I just got back from the Heritage Rally in Charleston. What a blast, I saw some of the most incrdible bikes on the planet there. Met with all the builders competing for biker build off, to include Billy Lane, Kendall Johnson, Eddie Trotta, and got all of their autographs. I left before they annouced the winner so don't ask me who won. Skynyrd rock the place and a good time was had by all. I will post pics when I get them downloaded and hosted.

Rumor has it Kendall Johnson won. The wonderful people that put on the event haven't posted the winner on their website yet. Just a little short sighted I guess.

How far did it take for you to catch up to him?
I love that video of the drag race between the plane the bike and I THINK it was a Porche but I'm not sure, looks like a runaway for the first ten to fifteen seconds lol

I have been real busy so I haven't hosted any pics yet. Sunday I rode back towards Charleston to pick up my 10yr old daughter that was camping. Yesterday I sleep in and then went to the gym late so nothing got done. Today I went commissary shopping and then I went on a PGR mission this afternoon so I still haven't had time to post any pics.

BTW the PGR mission was for a Vietnam Vet, Ronnie Hunter, in Kershaw, SC. The poor guy was on his first ride with a Christian motorcycle club and was hit by a drunk driver.

As we lined up at the gravesite an two A-10's flew over. I thought how neat, now this guy was former Army and got out of the service after the Vietman War, so the A-10 held no significance for him or his family. Yet, I still thought it was appropriate in some way. I guess the jets were returning from a run to Poinsette Range, we were about 40 miles north of Shaw, AFB, SC.

I was directly in front of him(both of us in the "fast" lane, with him about 15 feet behind me) doing about 65mph when he gave me a "Rev".

I blew his freaking doors off to 150+, at which time he gave up.

I kinda figured. Thinking maybe he'd do like the A-10's in DS1 did: silhouette followed by "picket fence" marks.<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

The most amazing part is that the car only cost me $3400 at a wholesale auction about 3 years ago(with a mere 73 thounsand miles on a 20yo vehicle to boot).

Getting a V-8 powered flagship Porsche that cheap is steal enough, but when the 1st and only previous owner has made extensive(and extremely pricey) performance modifications to the car on top of it....

LOL, i really fell into the pot 'o gold on that one.

I've been <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle> ever since.
