A little hydro fluid and a slick aircraft lead to me taking about an 8’ fall off the plane. I fell sideways so nothing broke my fall except a took box and the concert floor at the end. I ended-up with 6 staples in my head, a hurt back, and more burses than I can count. Luckily then is no permanent damage and I should be back to work in a week or so.

I’m on strong pain meds (that’s good because I couldn’t move other-wise) and have sleep 20 of the last 24 hours. You guys/gals working the aircraft out there be careful…it only take a second.

Heal fast man. Hope you are back on your feet soon.

Haven't you learned yet? You're supposed to seen the 1 & 2 stripers up high. They are still young and flexible enough to bounce right back. You get a few years under your belt like us, you've got to remember that, as Jimmy Buffet say's, "...these brittle bones don't bend.."

Take it easy, take your meds, and do what the docs say Dice-Man

One more example that we old farts may still see the world as we did at 21, but the reality checks hurt more. +1 on all the good advice previously posted , dice.

Thanks everyone for your kind words. I'm feeling better today and can even make it around the house without looking like Gallum (SP?) from Lord of the rings.

The doc said I can go back to work Monday and I will be headed for swing-shift. The shift change was planned before the fall and it may work out better because, I can take my time doing things without the pressure of day shift.

I feel lucky this old body can still take a fall like that and still bounce back in a week.

Glad to hear that Dice,

I've seen too many folks who took "NASTY FALLS or Accidents" went back to work after the Dr said "Ok" before they were ready too and get hurt even worst or "Aggervate" the problem they had and were off longer than before.

But Your smarter then them so you shouldnt have a problem
