I went to my Aunts the other day looking for some family history ,my name sake for one and found out that I'm not french<img src=newicons/spit.gif border=0 align=middle> the family when it came over to Canada early on in the late 1600's from france
<img src=newicons/anim_puke.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=newicons/spit.gif border=0 align=middle> changed the spelling of the family name to cut it's ties with france <img src=newicons/anim_puke.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=newicons/spit.gif border=0 align=middle>.
Thats why our name is spelled with a "small g" then a "Big G"
The family left f<img src=newicons/anim_puke.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=newicons/spit.gif border=0 align=middle> because of the way it was being ruled and religous reasons (?????)
But Terry my Friend you can count me as "Canadian" INSTEAD OF french <img src=newicons/anim_puke.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=newicons/anim_puke.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=newicons/spit.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=newicons/spit.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=newicons/anim_puke.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=newicons/anim_bow.gif border=0 align=middle>in my family history because they dont list anything before it <img src=newicons/anim_bannana.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=newicons/anim_bannana.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=newicons/anim_lol.gif border=0 align=middle>
The family had members who fought in the Revolution against the Brits returning to Canada and the family left Canada for America in the late 1790's thru 1889. Also had family who fought in the war of 1812 as Americans since we have roots in Louisana.
BUT STILL 100% USA AMERICAN NO MATTER WHAT!

So I feel MUCH BETTER NOW!!!!!<img src=newicons/anim_lol.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=newicons/anim_lol.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=newicons/smiley_salute.gif border=0 align=middle>

Hmm, thats interesting about the name change. Maybe that's what happened with my dad's side of the family. Now my mom's side is a completely different bowl of gumbo. Her father's side is from Louisiana, and her mom's side is from Canada. In fact, Grandma is a Canadian immigrant (80 years ago I think). So count me as part hoser, part gumbo head, eh.
