Ok, I am fed up with this crap. Actually this time it is the hospital pulling some shit. I went through all the proper channels and got a referal for a sleep study. Tricare is the one that contacted me and told me where to go for the study. I filled out the appropriate paperwork at the sleep center and they copied my Mil ID as proof of insurance.

Yesterday I get a bill in the mail, 2400.00 dollars. WTF, I am active duty and there is no copay. So I call the hospital and they say, we don't know why you got a bill since you are tricare prime and active duty. I do, they are trying to get me and tricare to pay at the same time. I ran into this shit before and lost about 400.00 because I didn't know I didn't have to pay any copays. I hate this kind of shakedown bullshit from health care providers. End of rant.

Fender,

Whenever they Pull that SHIT, do this,
1. Make 2 copies )
2. Keep a copy
3. Send the Original Hospital Bill back saying "TRICARE,Active Duty NO PAYMENT REQUIRED "and IF I GET ANOTHER BILL I'm sending a copy to
The TRICARE Billing Administration.

That will take care of it.

The Hospital is under contract by TRICARE (Works with CHAMPVA too)and the more complaints the Billing Dept at TRICARE for
"Double Billing" they'll either
A. Cut their allowance and How their paid ($$$$$$$)
B. Take them off their list of providers.

They dont want THAT!.

Hmm, happened to me the other day too. $993.60 from the hematologist office. Called and they said they are billing Tricare. We'll see.

Hey you could of been "Dead" and then they put your family on TRICARE.
TRICARE almost paid a bill.
CHAMPVA is always having some sort of problem with the Family's coverage. I'm still trying to get my 18yr olds card re-newed ,they have her covered,but now CHAMPVA is doing away with the SS# file numbers and doing what they did in the VA system.

You know we had to bring up the "VA, TRICARE& CHAMPVA " subject.
The Day before Thanksgiving I got a Letter from the VA to report for
a "C&P" this Thursday , I guess their making sure I'm not dead<img src=newicons/anim_lol.gif border=0 align=middle>
Its only for a"15 mins" EXAM that takes 50 mins to drive too.
Tells ME to bring "Any NEW RECORDS"since 2005.

I could of mailed them that,but WTF, I'll play I have been copying
records and running them down all day.
I think its going to be 67 pages for 2006.
They dont need the burn records.

If you ever been to a C&P exam bring your records, because the Dr just sits there and "READS THEM" and off you go.

Just "RED TAPE" at its HIGHEST DEGREE.
