On CNN was this to read. http://www.cnn.com/2007/SHOWBIZ/Movies/ ... index.html Do we have more suggestions? I think some scenes of \"Hamburger Hill\" or airfights in the classic \"Battle of Britian\". The whole movie of Pearl Harbor was one bad script. |

I've never seen \"Zulu\" or \"A Bridge Too Far\" so I can't comment. The fight in \"Starship Troopers\" was cool, but no way in the top 10. They need to add \"300\", \"Band of Brothers\" and \"We were Soldiers\" |

I'm thinking about the final battle in Star Wars: Return of the Jedi. A massive clash between 2 space fleets. In its day, that battle scene was unprecedented sci-fi action, the superstar destroyer crashing into the death star was friggin awesome! I don't mean the battle of Endor here by the way, but the part in space where the death star is attacked. |

I'm surprised nobody's mentioned Hell's Angels for the dogfights and the zeppelin, especially for its day. Gettysburg. |

Sorry, but 300 was not mine movie. Bad action scenes. That Hells Angels movie, that's an oldie I think? Band of Brothers is not a movie, I think that is the reason why it is not in the list. |

I have to go with SAVING PRIVATE RYAN HELL'S ANGELS \"AIR FORCE\" (B-17) (1944) movie 12'O' CLOCK HIGH GLORY We Were Soldiers Big Red 1 \"WAKE ISLAND\" Battle of MIDWAY TORA,TORA,TORA, \"Battle of Britain \"Hamburger Hill\" \"The fighting 69th\"(Rainbow Division) \"Battle Hymn\" Battle of the Bulge \" D-DAY 6TH OF JUNE \"devil's brigaded\" \"Pork Chop Hill\" And I cant think of the name of the new one, thats like a \"Bibliography\" of a Battle in Iraq by a Nation Guard unit made in 2005, plays on Encore. CRAP, theres just too many good movies out there I enjoy, but and of the Bridges of Navarone Or Guns of Navarone They SUCKED. You can tell I like the old movies better Goose |

x2, its a pretty good film im gonna go with: Saving Pvt. Ryan Band Of Brothers - my favorite: 2nd ep, where they attack the 3 or 4 artilary pieces Hamburger Hill - i havent seen it in several years, but i remember it being very good. Star Wars - Ep. 3 - Revenge of The Sith - the first 22 min, i gotta give star wars some love, so here it is i cant believe nobody said Full Metal Jacket if this isnt the funniest scene in a movie, i dont know whats funny then: Reporter: You shoot women and children? Door Gunner: Yea! Reporter: How could you do that? Door Gunner: Easy.......you just dont have to lead them as much! (Manical Laughing) |

Lots of good ones out there. Far too many to list. Here's my list of the worst, and some I still can't believe I wasted money on. Commando, the whole thing but I especially liked the right hand feed M-60 that made it's own ammo.
Invasion USA, the 2 shot XM-148, 40mm grenade launcher, and the non-back blasting LAW Rocket, really got me laughing. Fist Blood, take your pick of which one. I think it was the second that was the worst of the worst. Exploding tipped arrows, and firing a LAW from the inside of a Helo that's pissing fuel all over the place, again with no back blast. Full Metal Jacket, only the one or two scenes where they have guys in the forground Clearly using counterfit M-16's. Most probably miss it but it stands out like a sore thumb to me. There was another one that was so bad I can't even remember the title. There was a scene with a stealth fighter. They showed the cockpit from the front, and the seat looked real small, then the pilot walks around the seat from behind and sits down. There's an hour I'll never get back. Iron Eagle, where High School kids get to fly F-16s.
Some I opt out and can tell from the previews that it'd be a waste, Thank Gawd! Grindhouse is one of these. PLEASE! an M-16 with an M-203 for a prostetic leg?!?! Just how does she reload?!?! A CH-53 with really short blades that can be used to chop up the bad guys. NO, there is no way I'm wasting time and money on that. |

OK, I'll take a stab at some good ones. Hamberger Hill was always one of my favortes. The only way you could tell they were shooting blanks is by looking at the ammo feeding into the M-60s. Really well done for it's time. Private Ryan, Band of Brothers, these go without saying. Memphis Bell. Pretty realistic from what I can tell. FMJ, one of these good and bad. for the most part it was good. We were Soldiers. Fly Boys. Best I've seen for WW I anyway. The Patriot. I sure there are more. |

i forgot one. Behind Enemy Lines from the time they get locked on by the missle until the forward part of the fusalage lands on the ground. the first time i watched it, with surround sound cranked up, it was so intense to me. didnt Scott O'Grady sue the makers of the film for stealing his story or something? anyone else agree with me? |

Yep thats the one , thanks Guys, I would also say \"God is my Co-Pilot \", Guadalcanal Diary \" but if you got to go with the \"Great Battles\" STAR SHIP TROOPERS \" is pretty good, STAR WARS the aerial combat parts, The \"Band of Brother\" series who cares if their not a full movie. The Flags of our Fathers Gee I have so many favorites, plus I loved the old \"Combat TV show\" they had some pretty good ones, but then again some that sucked, just like that 70's \"Black Sheep Squadron' Loved the Old Corsairs , the acting sucked though. Did anyone ever see that HBO series \"Over There\" that only ran one season. Small scale and tight budget but not bad for what it was. |

... ... well ... ... ... it had Louis Gossett Jr in it that got to be worth some points.... |

But seriously, the lightsaber fight at the end of Phantom Menace was worth seeing the rest of the movie 3 times on opening day! Does that count as a battle, though? Well, if not, then I liked Aliens. Only the 2nd one, though. A Battle scene that ALMOST happened and would have been entertaining is the older movie \"the final countdown\". Tomcats vs. Zeros!! |
