| Post subject: | The Holiday Season |
So i'm starting 2 posts on this board tonight to, I figure that i need to liven up the place a bit. Anyways, with the holiday season fast approaching i was wondering if anyone was doing anything spectacular or exciting for their loved ones this year. Ever since i was a kid, Christmas had always been my favorite holiday and i have always gone overboard on the things i do and buy for family/friends and loved ones just because it makes me so happy to see their faces and how happy they are. I guess im just that kind of a sentimental fool. So does anyone have anything good planned? |

With no kids and both our families back on the East coast, and with the wife living and working in WY, we'll be doing good to just be together over the holidays. I'll probably be driving up there and hauling up the tree and goodies. Hoping for a nice quiet holiday, maybe do some wood working out in the garage, or in the basement if it's too cold, very likely. Since I've gotten into woodworking, I like to make gifts for people. The wife is learning and helping both with design and building. Here's some from last year.
I've also some some wine bottle stoppers and pens and penciles and sets there of. |

Nice work Ice! Racegal8, smaller Xmas for us this year but, we do have a family tradition that's a little different than most (I think) which will be the 18th annual this year. We don't have a big Christmas dinner until the 26th, on the 25th we have a large breakfast. We all get up, everyone else take's a shower and gets ready while I cook. This year it will be ham and bacon, eggs, pancakes, gravy, bisects, and toast. We all sit down and eat and then open presents. The kids (and grown-ups) are full and enjoy playing with their toys a lot more I think. Nothing big but a Hodges family tradition. |

With M-11 Jr deployed this Christmas, it'll be a little different, so (weather permitting) we'll drive down to his place to be with his wife and kidlets on the afternoon. We had a combined Thanksgiving/Christmas back in early Nov. |

Christmas morning this year will be at our house with my in laws and then lunch and the rest of the days at my mom and dad's on the other side of town. Oh yeah did I mention that Christmas Eve is my oldest sons 18th birthday ? |
