MMORPGs ... Any of you guys play these and, if so, which ones, to include strategy such as C&C? |

Warzone 2100 is by far the best of the lot, but several of us here play Starcraft online at Battle.net. Lots of fun. "Trample the wounded, hurdle the dead." |

Ooh, gotta love Starcraft... Brood Wars, of course... “Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch. Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote.” Benjamin Franklin, 1759 |

"Alien VS Predator 2" No strategy, guile or spookdom required m41 pulserifle, when ya absolutely positively have to kill every Alien mother F***ER in the room, accept no substitute.
quote:
"'Now, gentlemen, this modified M-41 pulse rifle is a lot heavier than what you're used to carrying'. The instructor held a compact rifle in his hands, and raised it before a hanger filled with marines. The man had on an olive-green cap, and was wearing a tan T-shirt and camouflage nylon pants. 'Digital counter reads from the back,' he said as he pointed to a small LCD screen on the side of the rifle. 'Unless you maggots don't already know, this tells you how many rounds are left in your current clip. This bad boy is capable of firing standard pulse ammunition, as well as several variants, such as the exploding and Teflon-coated shells'. The instructor flipped the rifle upside down and pointed at a large metal device. 'This is an integrated taser. Replaces those rusty old bayonets with the ultimate short-range weapon'. The instructor nodded towards the last device. 'And last but not least, this is an attached grenade launcher, capable of turning men into wallpaper. Fires M-40 grenades, which can breach heavy doors, walls, armor, and even the steel plates of some tanks. Clips on and off for added convenience'."

Edited by - mrmudd on Jul 21 2003 10:36 PM |

I've played: Everquest (subscribed for 6 months a few years back) Shadowbane (beta tested from July 2002-March 2003) Asheron's Call (tried out my sister's account) Anarchy Online (two free 7-day trials) Alot of Starcraft too, one of the best games ever. Haven't played for awhile but might as well play again soon. |

Eh, but the "battlefield stress" from having the base overun, and huddling all the remaing guys & buildings in a circle while Snipe is "yell typing" at me. Or the Killing Horrido's guy(s), maiming mine. By Snipe, controlling "Captain Collateral". ..Only seems slightly less fictious than almost having my arm broken, and recieving some cuts & bruises from a CO of sorts, not unlike Captain Collateral. Or maybe an argument or squabble, or two. Developing some issues with how much someone can be trusted. Well, art imitates life. Not entirely sure thats a good thing though. And along those lines, the scenes from BHD. Ranger's CO and Delta Force's CO fighting like Cats & Dogs. And Lt.Col. McKnight, portrayed by Tom Sizemore. Seems a little more believable with his calm disposition while taking some heavy fire. Wondering what he was saying exactly, while the AK-47's were drowning him out? Found myself comparing to him. Except maybe using the F word a lot if I'm really wound up. (Did do that a little in the huddleing situation, w/Snipe bouncing off the walls and shouting orders. "Can't F'n do this & while trying to F'n do that!")
