I will push away from my desk for the last time this morning. I took my last walk around the flight line yesterday and listen to the sound of jet engines and smelled burning JP-8. I turned down a retirement ceremony because of personal reasons so no pictures only words. It’s been a wild ride the past 23 years and I have enjoyed it all and would not changes a thing. Form this day forward I will be known on the net as Hogpen13…on my last roll of the “Dice” they come-up with a 7, I win because of the fact of knowing you all. The Random House Dictionary defines a salute as "To make a bow or other gesture in greeting, farewell, or respect." I salute you all, past and present, military and civilian, and the Air Force as a whole and those who support us, this is both a farewell and a sign of my deep respect for you all <SALUTE>!!! <img src="http://www.warthogpen.com/wallpapers_files/may04m.JPG" border=0> Sniper/prkiii could one of you guys see if it's possable to clear my Dice info in the data-base, I would like to reregister under my new screen name but use my old email addy. Congrats Dice! I believe Citizenship has to be earned. your 23 years of selfless Military Service has proven that, never forget that. When your at the PTA, Getting your Oil Changed, at a city hall meeting, Shopping for Groceries. You will have an insite and confidance that can only be explained by your service. You are apart of a long lineage that makes our lives possible, and for those that will never know what it means to be a Citizen accountable to his country, Family, community. I thank You Dice for being there and insuring when the Call came, That our Commander in Chief, Dedicated Crew Chiefs And pilots had an Aircraft Ready and capable to respond to the defense of this country. Dice, congratulations! I am very honored to have had the opportunity to know only serve with you, but to be trained by you & consider you a valued friend. you have had a great military career and I'm sure you will do just as good in the civilian world!! Me, I wanna retire like those guys in <i>Second Hand Lions.</i> Great movie. BTW, you have a publisher lined up for your book? My eighth grade science teacher didn't want to mess with alot of the crud the big companies were going to make him do, so he published it himself, starting his own company in the process.
