They are not slaves, they are indentured servants: a person who binds himself by indentures [ie, military contracts] to work for another [ie, US government] for a specified time esp. in return for payment of his travel expenses and maintenance [ie, college, skills training, etc] The difference is, slaves don't get paid, are seldom voluntary, nor do they often have a terms of conditions for their freedom. I don't just think outside the box...I turn it inside out with my mind. |
