No, really. Before my retraining window dissappears. You see, I'm looking at two routes in general. Space, and combat. I'm not sure which, though it would be nice to get both at once. Alas, no enlisted career fields would do this.

So, the other twist to the brnach in the road is do I stay enlisted, or try for officer? I have a list of enlisted fields available for me. What I need is a list of officer fields and the degrees accompanying them. You get a degree, and that decides what jobs are available, and so I want to get a better idea of what I'd want to do as an officer, so as to have a better idea as to what I'd major in. Make sense? The employment office had the AFI that applies, but was totally confusing. Is there a better list, perhaps online? I also need to look up more details on the enlisted fields I have available. It seems that for this year, almost nothing is available, but next year they'll need almost everyone, and I can somehow take one of those slots.

Not quite sure what you're asking. Certain degrees steer you toward certain AFSC/s (engineers for example). You'll probably find a large number of dudes not using their degree in the AF, like me...

That's part of it. What degrees tend to allow flying? If I have a better idea of what is needed for what I want to do, I can be better prepared when choosing a major. For this, I need to know what the career fields are, and what majors go to which one.

You can fly on a basket weaving degree. I know one fellow who is an accountant for crying out loud. The only specific ones I can think up at the moment are medical degrees and if you wanted to be a civil engineer. Flying is a bachelors degree. Flight experience certainly wouldn't hurt tho....
