Fox News is reporting that Harkin himself lied about his service in Vietnam, once telling wild tales of engaging Migs over Hanoi, when in fact he never flew in combat. According to the book Stolen Valor, it does appear that Fox News is correct. HAHAHAHAHA!!!! "There i was over hu Flung Poo valley. Migs so thick it turned day into night. I had 300 Rds in the gun, Shut one engine down to conserve fuel. it was a 50,000 Feet and I rolled in on my first Mig. Trying to save Ammo, I fired off the first WP rocket. It caught him right between the burner cans. Cut the fuselage off at the rear of his cockpit. Then all hell broke loose. A swarm came down on me from 80,000 feet. So i timed it just right the Greedey rice proppeled mofos were going to pay today! So I punched off the left engine pod and set it to explode 500m behind me as i was venting my last 300lbs of jp-4. It went off like like Hiroshama... then the Domino effect took over and their was cascadeing explosions from here to Hanoi. Linebacker 2 raid seen this so they followed the yellow explosion airoute to hanoi. The subsequent action earned me 4 distenguished flying crosses and a handfull of stars with Valor!.
