"Melida Arredondo told CNN-affiliate WFOR, "My husband did not take the news well." That's a given. Bizzare story. How's the Wobbly Goblin flying going sir? "I came here to kick ass and chew bubblegum...and i'm all out of bubblegum". |

Goblin is going alright. Got about another month of training. Sorta weird going from lowest tech to highest tech, but oh well. Plane does a lot on it's own, and actually does fly well. Course, being a WSO/RIO equivilent sorta sucks, but, that's what this jet requires. Hope it hangs around for a while. There was talk about reducing the fleet by 10%, but that got quashed. Goes to show, though, that this jet has no guarantees to longevity any more than the other fighters out there. Being a "single mission" platform, I'm wondering just how long it'll last (like all other single-mission platforms in this economic day and age). That, and with it's cost and maintenance man hours per flight hour, it'll be real interesting to see what it's future holds. Time was, the plane had zero problems getting funding....you want it, you got it, dollars-wise. Now days, it's a year to year like the rest of the airframes. |

Without a doubt that has to be the tough duty. Marine casualty officers sure have some real Heart Breaking moments. "The power to Destroy the planet, is insignifigant to the power of the Air Force----Mudd Vader |

How much on that aircraft is still secret T7? Do they still do the locked and loaded guard routine with them? I saw an F-117 at an airshow in i guess 94 or so and they had the armed guards with the red tape 'do not cross' line around it. No one tested the resolve of those airmen, lol. Oh, and one other thing, if you can answer....does the F-117 have an AIM-9 capability? If you can't say, i wouldn't want you too, and i'm sure you won't...but it's something i've always wondered about. "I came here to kick ass and chew bubblegum...and i'm all out of bubblegum". |

So now the mother/wife has to deal with the loss of her son and the idiocy of the husband/father. How selfish. "Live every day like it's the last, 'cause one day you're gonna be right!" Ray Charles (6/10/04 was the day) |
