THE NEW STORM TRACK FOR THIS "MOTHER OF A CANE" IS DUE OUT AT 5 EST.
NOW THE WORRY IS HE'S SLOWING DOWN AND HEADING N NW AND HAS TO BASICALLY DO A HARD "RIGHT"! TO FOLLOW THEIR PERDICTIONS.
BUT YOU KNOW THAT YOU BETTER BE LOOKING BECAUSE THE MAJOR NEWS OUTLETS ARE STARTING TO TALK NEW ORLEANS AS A POSSIBLE TARGET

BETTER WATCH HARD MATTLOT, BECAUSE YOU DONT NEED HIM AT YOUR DOOR.

Well guys things are getting wild down here in New Orleans. Home depot is running low on plywood.

My father in law is taking my wife and baby north if the storm comes this way. We will know by tomorrow if an evacuation will be ordered. Remember this though a storm of this magnitude is projected to put 2oft of water in the city for 6 months.

I have a business and commitments to run here so I will be staying in the office, will email you guys some pictures if it comes. It will be interesting.

WRONG TIME OF THE YEAR ,REALLY BAD TIMMING IF IT DOES HIT NEW ORLEANS OR THAT PART OF THE GULF. THE MIGHTY MUDDY HAS BARGE TRAFFIC STARTING TO FORM UP FOR THIS YEARS HARVEST WHICH WILL BE IN FULL SWING IN A COUPLE OF WEEKS,AT THE SAMETIME HEATING OIL AND GAS GOING NORTH FOR THE WINTER,WHICH IS PREDICTED AS A "DAMN HARSH AND COLD ONE" ON ITS WAY.IF NEW ORLEANS IS HIT THERE GOES THE MIGHTY MISS AS FAR SHIPPING WHICH IN TURNS STOPS RAIL LINES,TRUCKING ETC,,. PLUS ALL THE UPPER FLOODS THAT COME FROM THE RAIN.
FLORIDA WILL LOOK LIKE A BAD THUNDERSTORM IF THAT HAPPENS

thanks guys for really making me feel like a target. Off to get food ect. Keeps getting closer. Guys pray that it stays to our east. The worst thing for us in up the river or just slightly to our southwest when the eye makes landfall.

I might pick up a kite to fly during the storm any other experiments lol.

Don't worry Mattlot, I'm in the same boat. I'm down the road a bit from you in Biloxi. This being my first hurricane I'm a little leary about it. I guess they make tech school students (Prior and Non-priors) shelter in the schoolhouse. That should be fun. I woke up this morning to "HURCON 4" on the base TV channel.

I heard that the pumps in the "Easy" aren't up to handling a Cane like this one so I'd be booking if I were there. But if it hits Biloxi, N.O. will feel hurricane force winds (weather channel said they go out 100+ miles from the eye). I'll be heading to the local Winn-Dixie to stock up on water and Spaghetti O's to keep me through the "sheltering".

My prayers are with everybody along the Gulf Coast, especially you guys in Louisiana and Florida (Florida's already been hit hard enough this year, I'd not wish anything else on 'em... over 20% of the orange crop's already gone).

If there's anything us guys in the Dallas/Ft. Worth, Texas area can do for you guys, just let us know.
