Hey all, I haven't had much time to write to you all. As you can imagine I have no free time at all, any free time I can find I sleep in my dyke's room. I've been reading a couple of post and not really following. But things have gotten better here. I got over the first month of depression and now this place is shitty in a different way. I've got about three more months of this crap until winter break. Actually it's 7 weeks till thanks giving break, if I'm correct, then only three weeks after that till finals. In those weeks no one gives a crap about harassing the rats their studying. In Fact the end of the grading period was this week, and you can see a significant drop in the number of stoop monkeys. This weekend is the FTX, where all the different ROTC go off to different bases and doing land nav, while Air Force and Navy kind of sit back and laugh at the marines and Army grunts. So, instead of cleaning my rifle or doing homework I decided to write you guys. Great choice I think. I'm still having a hard time adjusting to only 6 hours of sleep. I want to kill myself every morning. And it's impossible to stay awake at my 0800 class. But this is where my brother rats are and there is no place I rather be. That's what this place is suppose to do to you. It has also made me tougher, I can tell that I am now more willing to do harder work. I learned how to just suck it up do it even though I really don't want to. It has also lowered my standards of sanitation. Here we piss in the sink because it's easier than straining all the way to the bathroom. I also like what my Brother Rat said, "they take away all your rights then slowly give them back to you and call them privileges." But you learn how to deal with adversity. You have to. Before I came here I got a lot of, "oh it's not that hard," "If my little john can do it you can too." "Once you get through the first month it's not that bad." DON'T BELIEVE IT. I have noticed that it seems a lot easier looking back on it, but I know it wasn't. So now I'm stuck as a rat. In fact I just had the pleasure of being intruded upon by a couple of 3rds while I was writing this. So I'll wrap it up before they come back. so life sucks. Man, I'm sorry to hear that Flyboy. All that crap and you don't have the fortune of graduating from one of the prestigous military academies like West Point <img src=icon_smile_clown.gif border=0 align=middle> Keep in mind to the last sentence in your post; you do "have alot to look foward to", like maybe... Iraq.<img src=icon_smile_shock.gif border=0 align=middle> Remember, a piece of coal first has to succumb to extreme amounts of heat and stress before it can be a diamond. I can only respect A Man that can handle his buisness. You will find this out later. You are learning what it takes to handle your buisness. That is the Gift they are passing on to you. it's VMI. It's not to terrible, at least it's not as terrible as it was a month ago, but a month ago was hell week.
