From a Marine I served with in Afghanistan, and is now in Iraq: Hello!! It has been awhile since I last wrote to you all so here is my story, as you can tell from the news we now have some new visitors to our area. We have the British all over the place, it will be nice and a good experience to work with them. Also something that came up in the news that I gotta clear up. The Qa Qa ammo facility that is "missing" ammunition. The media does such a terrible job of portraying the truth. While some of it is classified and I wish I could tell you, you will have to take my word when I say we are doing the best we can. Insulting President Bush on saying that all this stuff came up missing in the last few days is insulting all the way down the line to me and my fellow marines working the Area of Operations. My unit is responsible for that and trust me when I say we are doing everything we can to protect it. I usually don't interfere with politics or what is on the news but I had to say something about that because they are saying that my unit all the way down to the intel Marines that we are failing our job in Iraq. Ok now that I got that off. I am doing good down here got into a rutine and it is working good. I am getting about six hours of sleep with one hour reading and one hour working out. Not so bad. Our food and our showers are slowly getting back to normal after our chow hall and our water purifier where destroyed. Still off and on, but ok. Other than that I need to get back to my tent and start reading. Love to hear from all of you. "Live every day like it's the last, 'cause one day you're gonna be right!" Those explosives were searched for on the SECOND DAY OF THE WAR by the US Army, with an imbedded NBC news crew attatched no less. Look here... http://forum.a-10.org/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=7469 The WHOLE story is a blatant lie. "Molon labe". Leonidas, King of Sparta, Thermopylae, 480 B.C. |
