Holy Sh**! I think I witnessed Django Rheinhardt just reincarnated, but can he do it with only two fretting fingers because the others were lost in a gypsy-cart fire accident?? ;) That Stephan kid is the king of ostinato, good show- VERY good show. I think I'll use my strat as pizza shovel now... what's the point anymore Edited by - tritonal on Feb 10 2005 12:40 AM |

You've somehow managed to turn "Crazy Train" into a merge between "Mamma, I'm coming home" and anything that was done by the band-Bread; it's a keeper- I liked it. Sober it up, and I'll really appreciate it. Though drunk, Good stuff. Edited by - tritonal on Feb 10 2005 12:49 AM |

I spent A Good 20+ Years doing nothing But Classical/Spanish/Jazz Guitar Styles, and then in the 90's Started playing Electric and Predominately 80's Rock and Then Got into the Heavier Stuff. Now That I retarded From the Air Force, Ive Got all this Free Time on my hands so I have Started Recording Covers Mostly to replicate some of my Favorite albums and in the past Couple Months Seeking out Musicians in my area to jam With. What I have done to date is everything From Drum machine , Guitars, bass, paino and the like in compositions to replicate those albums on my PC. In the past 2 weeks I have Found some guys to play with, A Couple are in other local bands, But we have started to make an All star album so to speak of all the area musicians. It has been allot of Fun. Where I Live it is predominately Death/Melodic Metal with a few industrial type bands. Which I dont mind, as I like Melodic Lead Guitar and Heavy Riffs. But I cant stand the satanic/ growl vocal style (Totally fucking Gay) most of these guys cant fight their way out of an Egg Shell. I'm just there to shred. There are a few "hardcore" bands here in town and in some cases the musicians are really talented guys; the stuff they write is very good and they play tightly. However, the vocals completely turn me off. We do mostly 90's radio rock covers. We're all students in a college town, so that's the kind of music that we like and it seems that everybody else gets a kick out of hearing it too. (Oh man I remember this song!!) We only have a few originals, but the list is starting to grow. If you're into it, it's super easy to get shows at bars just about anywhere, especially if you play classic rock. Those people thrive on it. ~Thud |

I don't know if anyone knows of Bireli Lagrene? He could this stuff at 14!! I guess you have to be a virtuoso to be a gypsy guitarist. Edited by - tritonal on Feb 14 2005 3:17 PM |
