Well guys we on the gulf coast are shell shocked officially now. Now on to Emilie and possibly franklin following behind.

What a mess. Cindy which now looks like it made a category one hurricane before landfall did significant damage to our roof and blew down many trees here in new orleans.

Our brothers in Florida need our prayers.

got the pirogue out ready to brave the waves, hope it does not turn north towards us though the states evact plan is a mess and cindy's debris is still everywhere. Tomorrow I get to climb back on the roof and try to solve everything. (YA RIGHT)

no i stay in a old warehouse with about 50,000 sq ft of roof. Trying to keep the damage to 300 sq ft. Looks like the blocking high is breaking down allowing emily to move northward. The problem is if it threads the yukatan and cuba nothing will slow this storm down before landfall. Need to watch it over the next few days who ever gets hit by this will be a disaster.

Right now winds 100 mph when cindy hit we had 60 mph+ gust, lets just say roofers will have a ball if this hits.

Wow, that's some roof to look after, I hope it stays in one piece.

After all, if it gets damaged that'll make you one 'mean and roofless muther'...

You're born, you keep your head down and you die. If you're lucky...

lol being up on a roof with a torch putting down rubber roofing in 90 degree heat aint fun. because with the black roof it is about 140 degrees before you turn on the torch

I did that back in my younger days.

Why is it it seems that the storms with female names are the worst ones, not saying HUGO or IVAN werent bad but those to me we're "RUSKIEE NAMES"the old Commies couldnt of done better.

I'm saying PORT ART TX is going to be Landfall, just for some reason.
