Hey, fellas. I've been saving my pennies for a new guitar and plan to do so within the next couple of months. Right now I have a mid-level Takamine (~$650), a Mexican Strat, a 1981 Kramer American, and a Fender Precision Bass. I've always wanted a really nice guitar, along the lines of Gretsch, Martin, Taylor. I play a lot more acoustic than electric but like both. Anyhow, I was looking at a really nice A/E like a Taylor 814 or 914CE but found out about their new T5 on their website. Anyone seen or played one? ALl I can find out about it are glowing reviews. I'm seriously considering the T5 Custom with the Koa top and it's about a grand cheaper than the 914. Inputs please...this thing looks SWEET! If you have time watch the videos on the Taylor site. http://www.taylorguitars.com/guitars/t5/feature/ ATTACK!!!!!!! |

I dont get it, is this an acoustic/electric? I personally play on low end things (Ibanez mainly), though I've jammed on a couple Gibson's and Fender's. I prefer the Ibanez (I own a 1989 Ibanez EX140) since it's more comfortable, and having the name of a Gibson or Fender is definetely NOT worth the extra money involved. "Retreat, hell! From that video it just looks like a regular acoustic. Looks like a cool guitar, but I'm not that into acoustics anyway, I'm more into AC/DC type stuff, for which my Ibanez is perfect. "Retreat, hell! We just got here!"-Captain Lloyd Williams, 2nd Marine Division, Belleau Wood, France, WWI |
