Hey folks, just a reminder that begining next month, Cell phone numbers will be released to telemarketers so unless you love getting calls for new siding, replacement windows or any of the other stuff, I'd suggest registering your phone on the do not call list. It's painless and only takes a minute. You can do it on-line at http://www.donotcall.gov or call: 888-382-1222. You must call from the number you want blocked. OC |

If you get called by a telemarketer, get the name/number of the agent and the company they work for. Then, call your cell company to notify them. Telemarketers are not supposed to call cell phones for the very reason of cost-per-minute, though they often use random phone number generators that sometimes hit cells. Cell providers have, at least for me in the past, provided substantial reimbursement minutes for solicitors' calls. There is always hope-- only because it's the one thing no one has figured out how to kill... yet. |
