Fellow hoglets, my wife and I attended a support our troops rally in Brimfield Mass earlier this afternoon. About an hour after we got home Amie got a call from her mom telling her that her cousin died in action in Iraq yesterday. He was on right out of Ranger training. Three days after Ranger school he was sent to the Iraq and was scheduled to come home within a couple weeks. He hadnt even been in the military a full year. His dad is an Army Major, Ranger, Green Beret, spec-ops the whole enchilada. He had three siblings. My wife has taken it pretty hard. His name was Dillon Jutras. "By this time tomorrow I shall have gained either a peerage or Westminster Abbey !" Billy, tell Amie our Hearts go out to your family in this time of sorrow. He was a Ranger, one of the Army's best no matter how long he served We know he served with PRIDE and HONOR, So the only way to show respect to a Fallen Brother in Arms is God's Speed to Him,May He rest in peace. LIVE FREE OR DIE |

Pfc. Dillon M. Jutras, 20, of Fairfax Station, Va., died in Al Anbar Province, Iraq, from injuries sustained while conducting combat operations. Jutras was assigned to the Army's 3rd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment in Fort Benning, Ga. His father, Pierre, is an Army major, and one of his sisters, Heather, is a cadet. Jutras' family said he joined the Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps at Hoke County High School in Raeford, N.C., and then at Thomas A. Edison High School in Alexandria, Va. He attended George Mason University for his freshman year, joining the Senior ROTC program. That was when he decided to enlist in the military and become an Army Ranger. "Dillon was an extraordinary individual with a kind heart and adventurous character," the family said in a statement. "He chose to serve his country by following in his father's footsteps, as an Infantry soldier. He was a role model to his younger brothers, who worshipped him; a best friend to his sister; and a perfect son. His commitment to his family and his selfless service to his country are reflections of what an honorable person he was. You will find no one who will say an unkind word about Dillon. The pride his family feels for Dillon's achievements is immeasurable. He had a wonderful sense of humor and he will always be in the hearts of those whose lives he touched." Just wanted to tell you all that yesterday on Nov 8, Dillon's family laid his body to rest in Arlington Natonal Cemetery. He will rest along side young men like himself that lost their lives in Iraq.
