My battery of sidearms...
From left to right and smallest to biggest (the P7 is actually smaller than the Beretta in size, but not in caliber...so the Beretta went 2nd): *Ruger LCP with Crimson Trace laserguard and +1 mag, loaded with Buffalo Barnes .380+P 80gr SCHP @ 1150fps/235fpe. *Beretta Model 84FS Cheetah loaded with Buffalo Barnes .380+P 80gr SCHP @ 1275fps/290fpe. *HK P7 with custom rail and Trijicon tritium night sights, loaded with Corbon 9mm+P 100gr Powrball @ 1475fps/485fpe *Sig Sauer P228 with Mecgar 15rd mag and Trijicon tritium front night sight, loaded with Corbon DPX 9mm+P 115gr SCHP @ 1250fps/400fpe *FN Five SeveN USG with CDNN 30rd magazine, Viridian C5L 100 lumen strobe/green day laser and Trijicon tritium front night sight, loaded with Elite Ammunition 5.7x28mm \"+P+\" 28gr JHP @ 2600fps/405fpe. (this round will defeat class IIIA armor yet still violently fragments and tumbles in soft tissue, causing a 5.56mm fragmenting round type wound tract). |

Not a bad collection. How do you like the little Beretta? That's about the only one I havent seen you write about. Have you ever considered a wheel gun? While no where near as fast to fire and reload, they are much more dependable than auto's and make a great backup. I also find them just fun to shoot. |

I've owned some nice revolvers over the years. All of them were Rugers. Not really my thing though, I'm a semi auto guy. The Beretta 84FS is really nice, it shoots straight, very high quality, holds a lot of bullets. With it's long barrel it's just about as powerful as a compact pistol firing standard pressure 9mm ammo. I bought it for my girl. |

I've owned both S&W and Rugers over the years, and I think that even though a Smith is smoother and nicer out of the box, no one gives you more value for your dollar than Ruger. I have 2 right now, a 6" Security 6 in .357, and a 4" stainless GP100 in .357. With some minor polishing to the action, they are in my opinion, every bit as smooth as a Smith. |

hey does that Cheetah have the tip-up barrel? I always liked that feature, wish they would have that in a larger caliber though. |

The tip up barrel model is the Model 86 i think. Mine was the Model 84, but it's gone now. I have a different assortment of firearms now. guess i'll have to take some pix. |
