HELLO Folks,
i'd like to model a Monogram A-10 model during reloading ammunition bay.
In operation, was it possible that the pilot wasstill at the control with engines "on", towin time between missions.
If for safety reasons, it is not possible, i'll model a real "static" model.

JP, yes the A-10 can be loaded with the pilot still in the aircraft and the engine(s) running, it's done during what we call an Integrated Combat Turn (ICT). In fact the gun can be loaded quicker using engine power but it's done with only a single engine operating, not both.

Having loaded many A-10's on ICT's, I can tell you that the difference in using the engine versus the APU is tremendous. In 1990 I had an then record 8 minute ammo upload at RAF Woodbridge(78 AMU). Best ever with the APU was 12.
