Wow thanks Homer!!!

Nice video find, plus they have quite an impressive section on me and Snipes car! At least that GT1 landed back on its wheels.....that goes to show just how good Porsche is!

On a side note with the red 928s...............i have seen Sniper do that plenty of times! The burning tire smell isn't so pleasent and you eat up tires that way, but still fun to leave that much tire rubber on the ground behind you!!!!

Homer,

In the Nürburgring vid, when he's on the long straight (about 7:50 into the vid), what do you recon he's topping out at?

From a guess looking at the scenery going by, he must be doing 160mph to 170mph.

He is one cool driver, talk about being on the ragged edge...

Having a cool car doesn't hurt...

So, for the first one, do you call AAA or the FAA & NTSB?

So, you have trouble. We all have trouble. Build a bridge and get over it.

LOL,

Don't know.

But I do know a few body shops that would have it back on the forecourt after nothing more than a bit of T-cut and a valet...

here are the specs of the car:

http://www.fast-autos.net/ruf/rufctr.html

(1987 RUF CTR "Yellow Bird", 469 bhp)
top speed is 211 mph.... this guy seems to go to the limits.... btw he was a test driver for a car magazin in germany.

the "nürburgring nordschleife" will be in the new version of Gran Tourismo (3) for the PS2. this will be a lot of fun. the game should be available next month...

you´re still driving VW?

That's not slow .

He was definately on the limit, the car was very 'squrimy' even on the straights.

Yep still got the VW Passat 1.8T, but looking round at possibly changing it later this year.

Looking at either a new Golf GTi DSG or a used Passat W8 automatic.

Either way looking at £20k.

What are you driving now?

... now I got a BMW 320 Diesel. (thats a company car) Not bad. But the 330d would be better...
The car before was the Passat TDI, which was a little bit modified.

Anyway it would be nice to have a little "toy" besides the company car which will be a little bit faster than 140 mph... we still have the oppertunity to go a little bit faster here on the autobahn!

320d's not bad, I was suprised at how quick they are.

The 330d rocks. Probably the best diesel engine after the VW V10 ...
