Greetings all,

I'm an aviation photographer (and ex-strike pilot) who's planning on visiting Tucson in a few weeks. I'm interested in photographing some of the 355TFW aircraft at Davis-Monthan AFB while I'm there.

Does anybody have any contact details for the squadron?

A sample of my work is attached...

Cheers, Mike.

quote:
England based photographer Michael Jorgensen was born in Australia and has been interested in aircraft since he could walk. When he was 25 years old, he moved to New Zealand and joined the Royal New Zealand Air Force as a trainee pilot.

During the course Michael was streamed to fly fast jets, and he later completed his 'Wings' on the Aermacchi MB-339. He remained on 14 Squadron for two years practising various forms of air-air and air-ground flying, whilst awaiting the planned introduction of the F-16 fighter aircraft.

Thanks guys (especially M2).

For some reason I cannot access their website, but that email address should be a great help.

Thankyou for checking out my site (and history). Please don't get me started on the shortcomings of a country that has no effective firepower.... I might not stop ranting !!

Might be your "foreign" ISP, I can't hit USAF sites from my Belgian account.

Good luck, and if I can help in any way (obviously I am not at D-M), give me a shout or post here.

By the way, where are you in the UK?

Cheers! M2

Hawg166, if you like the A-4 you should try strike Fighters Project 1, fun sim and you can fly the A-4, F-4, F-100, and a number of other aircraft with mods. It's a blast and I have been playing it for the past few months.

Nosiree M2,

Unfortunately none of the DM pages will open for me - even the home page...

I just get a long delay and then this wonderful message:

quote:
The page cannot be displayed
There is a problem with the page you are trying to reach and it cannot be displayed.

Kind of frustrating, but that's computers for you.
Just as well I never flew F-16's I guess. I can't even use the internet.

Ta, Mike.

I *think* he means proxy surfing, where a server retrieves Web pages for you, providing only its own identity to the sites it visits. Usually, proxy servers are used to increase the effective speed of your connection to the Internet, as they save files that are requested most often in a special database called "cache".

Your IP address reveals your point of entry to the Internet and can be used to trace your communications back to your ISP, your employer's network, your school, a public terminal, or maybe even your own computer if you've been assigned your own IP address. It may not reveal you by name, but it may be uniquely identifiable and it represents your digital ID while you are online.

Of course all that is stolen from the Internet!

Cheers! M2

Finally I got to visit DM, Arizona.

The flightline was very impressive, and it was hard to look cool with such a mass of A-10's on the pan. Without a doubt, it was one of the tidiest (and aggressive) flightlines that I have ever seen. The huge mountain range backdrop also added a nice touch.

Unfortunately I did not get an opportunity to take any photographs, but I did get a request through to the PAO. Maybe next time. I'll be sure to share them with you all.

Bummer you didn't get to take pics, but good to hear you made it out there.

Sorry I jumped on your thread too late, but here's a proxy server.

Sometimes the options to remove scripts and cookies can cause problems with websites, so you may want to deselect those.

Thanks! M2
