I heard at Red Flag or some other USAF competition/wargame that an A-10 pilot scored a simulated kill on a fast-moving member of the fighter mafia... Someone buy that hog pilot a Budweiser.

Anyone flew the Pig? How did it fly?

Happens more than some would think, our guys fly BFM against the Eagles quite often and come out even on many occasions, all depends on the ROE

It happens all the time, nothing new here. Like MUGS said, it depends on the ground rules.

It doesn't all depen on ROE. I've seen several 8mil footage shooots of HAWG driver scoring hit on both F-15's and F-16's in BFM. It can be done. Especially when the HAWG is underated by its opponents.

I had a few vhs tapes made from hud tapes. All are from NTS back in late 80s. Our Hawgs made several a2a kills

Bearhsare, Kazaa, Limewire..... Just search for A-10 videos or Aviation videos, that kind of thing. Eventually you will get them.

Good footage Dice, that first video was a good funnel shot. Textbook.

Coach let me guess these fast mover pilots had a lot to live down for a few weeks after this.

I remember the the A-10 over the gulf book where the a general pointed out two A2A kills for hogs versus non for the F-16's.

Basically I got a question Coach is the Hog the basic question is the Hog the perfered method of dealing with enemy choppers.

WE were told that if needed our jets would use the IR Mavs to hit A2A targets if the 9s fail to lock (23TFW) So we really flew with three A2A. Gun Sidewinders Mavericks
