Very nice, if I remember right "we" made something like this at Moody for when the "higher-ups" retired or PCSed.

Also looking around the site I found this....

...now to be "Authentic B-25" nose art wouldn't it have to come off a B-25 and would there not be only one authentic version of each piece of art??

That is way cool. Our unit has been giving those to retired pilots for some years now, but I believe they were having them made on a 1 for 1 basis by our machine shop out of actual shells and what not. I dont drink but I would love to have on of those just to have.

I once used a shot glass made of a 30mm shell. Once. I cut it so it looked a good height, but didn't measure it in advance. I went on a bit of a bender and wound up drinking almost an entire bottle of JD in about 20 minutes. We measure it the next day and found it was a double.

Nah, it was a TP round. My DU rounds are red shells, so I would never polish or cut them. Anyway, that incident did little to deter me from drinking like a crew chief (read fish). Whatever doesn't kill me, only makes me stronger. That night was at the begining of a long strange journey that still ahsnt ended.
