Going through some Molds my partner had done in the past I came across this little gem.

<img src="http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a349/mrmudd/DSC01629.jpg" border=0>

<img src="http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a349/mrmudd/DSC01630.jpg" border=0>

What this was was a prototype for a kneeboard for mounting Palmpilots or calculators too. Any of you guys see a need for this. It has a flat side and the theigh Contourside. With two Slots for attaching Straps. There 5" x 3" in size

I was thinking of runnign a batch of these in Olive green and khaki.

Let me know if anyon e is interested...

I don't know of anyone that flies with a palmpilot/calculator strapped to their leg. With maps, multiple info cards and saddle bags it seems a little much to me. Cool idea if we were to ever go to electronic pubs in the jet.

The army uses Palms for Weight and Balance Calc and gps map programs etc.

Like i said, we in the fighter world allready have our comfort items. and Helo Guys dont Punch out...

But you never know what a persons needs are. They work well for the forearm as well.

Find some ideas for this....

Pilots are issued these items free of charge from supply. Most guys buy a better quality one from commercial outlets if they want them, but almost all G-suits are now modified with elastic straps on the thigh that keep you from needing a kneeboard at all.

Why didn't I ever think of Ipods? We should push for those in every A-10 for the long haul to and from the target area. Don't get me wrong, kneeboards are very important and I know guys that use up to three of them on their legs somehow, but the modern-day hawg pilot prides himself on being technologically-challenged (case and point: the awe and confusion caused by recent briefings on the capabilities of the A-10C).

these would be great for paramedics.

Especially for rapid chart notes. a pen holder of some sort would be great. Additionally a molded arm board for a forearm like NFL uses would be cool especially if it could hold a basic calculator with section rapid drug review.

They Fit on forearms too Matt. IF ya want one send me an email of your snail mail address. If you come up with ideas on a usage let me know, and I can modify the Mold to suit your paramedic needs. This could very well launch a brand of products for you.
