These are all DMs jets. I took these pictures in Al Udeid and Bagram as we were swapping jets with the Bulldogs. I never would have noticed it either unless their Chief pointed it out to us. He said they were laser etched during phases. I already called dibs on doing the mudflap girl (7, actually) sitting on the barrels for my jet if we do it. Dice, I know its not door or nose art, but I am sure you will agree this is in a whole category of its own. I will send you high res shots and some more info about them all if you want.

Jackb, damn dude I don't care if this is door art or not this has to be one of the most unique things I've ever seen on the A-10. I do want high rez shots (I wil send you a disk if needed) and believe a page on my website is called for. How many aircraft in the history of military aircraft can say they have room on their gun muzzle for art! <img src=newicons/anim_shock.gif border=0 align=middle>

The Punisher on 167 is sweet. 201 Has an awesome one too. Cann74 (274! Old joke from Bagram 2003-2004 trip) is really cool. I'll have to E-mail "Snoopy" since he pointed it out to you. Damn I wish I'd have thought of that.

Dice - I will email you the pics today. If you have enought space, please, crop and resize the pictures and repost them so everyone else can see the detail.

Weasel - I didn't get a picture of 278. Either it didn't have the gun etched (only like 4 I saw didn't, I will have to check to see which tail #'s), it didn't deploy with the Bulldogs, or I missed seeing it during the swapover. It was kind of like organized chaos switching out, with both squadrons having people in both Qatar and Bagram, and us moving around as the jets were also.

I understand jackb. It was like that when we swapped out with Spang and you guys 2003-2004. Looks like they still park em out on the Hammerhead in the Died during swapouts.
