Yesterday I was visit ILA in Berlin. I saw an A-10 and the pilot. Talked with him about the plane and further about doorarts. He told me that they thinking about the returning of doorarts at Spangdahlem. Looks good to me that tradition.

Also a little bit populair yesterday by the plane:
I have a jacket with a big patch on the back (Grenada 1983, with a Hawg on it) and everybody around the A-10 came to me to look at it.

I thought it was the previous USAFE/CC (Doc) that was driving that policy...who was also responsible for the removal of the Panther heads from the engine cowls...

Cheers! M2

I know Spangs Pro-Super from when I was at Pope (he was the Phase Dock Chief) and at Osan (He was our Section Chief and then later Pro Super). I asked him about all that before I left, and he said both are coming back. He said they just got approval to do door art, and the Panther faces are coming back soon too. None of the jets they sent to Bagram had door art, but I was told that a few of their jets have it already, and some more in in the works.

I don't know anybody stationed at Spang who didn't deploy, so I can't get any pictures, yet. I will email their Pro-Super when they return home and get some pictures.

I go to Spangdahlem open house in July, I ask them again when they think to put doorarts on their planes. Maybe with a little pressure a quick return of doorarts.

And Dice-Man, did you get mine pictures allready by e-mail? I send you Sunday a few.

I'm sorry,

If a HOG is a Combat Vet, it should have Doorart, you put OU ribbions on the side of them why not door art?
