I’m thinking of changing the Warthog Pen from a general A-10 website into an A-10 art specific website. I was sitting in my garage last night looking for a friends door art picture and it hit me that the art of the A-10 is what interests me the most now ( I guess it always has in a way) and the Warthog Pen doesn’t reflect that interest. My domain name comes up for renewal next month and I can get a name that reflects my passion for the art of the A-10.

Why not just expand the art section of the website I have…..because I don’t think it would/is genenrating the responses of a art specific site and I would not feel obligated to keep the site updated with other info, like I do now. Also by reformatting and using the “keyword” function of HTML I believe I can get more hits on all the search engines.

Just wanted to float the idea by you guys/gals and get your thoughts.

Dice, can't you keep warthog pen as well as getting an addional domain name? I'm not sure of the hosting program you have but the one I sent you a while back allows me up to 4 domain names. The only additional expense I have by running more than on is the yearly cost of registering the domains.

Why not keeping the name and change alone the inside. The Warthogpen is a famous name in the A-10 fanatics world. And you will see if you change your page into more doorart (and other art), the people still come. I hope you keep also the videosection. Sometimes i put a link of it on a Dutch site and the reactions are always positive.

Hitler, I could get another domain but that would lead to a storage space issue, if I do an all art site there will be large jpeg images and a lot of them.

Also the Warthog Pen only gets about a 100 hits a day which is not much so I don't believe it will be missed that much, I don't know let me think about it some more.

since you think 100 hits a day isnt much, maybe you could ask Pete how many his site gets viewed every day.

Dice, you've got some quality links going into warthog pen which are difficult to come by. One of the biggest being a link from wikipedia, which I'd kill for... also any search engine traffic you may recieve will be lost if you do away with the site. This is one reason I suggested keeping the site and link the two sites together. Search engines do rank sites by how many are linked together.

As far as your storage space issue, I think you could re-tool the current site by compressing images and eliminating unnecessary code's in your html there by creating more storage space.

However in the end the decission is yours to make.
