A couple of us got to work hand and hand with the \"Cajuns\" in the Sandbox\",we had to bed down their jets while they \"RESTED\" when they first got there,listen to them complain about not getting to spend \"Newyears\" with the family and the ones who were ESTA leaving the day after Christmas
and we look at these guys as \"Gee here we go,a bunch of FARTS, who are getting paid $$$$$ to be here and dont know Shit\"

But we were proven WRONG, They were GOOD, at what they did, were always helping out,pilots were great to us too.
Their CMSGT after I'd been to everyone I could get to asking for a new pair of \"Boots\" since my soles were duct taped on came up to me in the RED-1 truck with Ernie (our SMSGT) with me a BRAND NEW PAIR plus new Flight Gloves.He said \"Damn Sarge, dont you know what a Truck is for?\"

I was with the unit since 1991 and its been a hell of a ride.The past couple of years.First we go to Afghanistan in 2004-2005.I get back in January and the BRAC talk starts.The day before I evacuate for Katrina the BRAC decision is final.Well I'm stuck in Shreveport until Dec of 05 get back to New Orleans and we are on an accelerated BRAC,the planes leave in March,and now in in Shreveport now.Talk about a crazy turn of events all in a span of a year.
