Pat,

That was one of the \"Cajuns\" birds that Shot the MAV into the wall., Carl when he comes up got some pictures of the \"Hole\" in the wall a few weeks later.
Their is a few pictures out there, but haven't been able to pin down a source.
But I've had it confirmed by 4 folks and 2 didn't deploy .
I've even only seen one reference to the iMishap, these guys were kind of
 [tard] when I first told them about it until it was finally confirmed by others.
The A-10 \"Modelers\" book the one with the Barksdale jets on it,if I remember is the only written stuff on the Mishap and it even reads as a :?: :?:

Someone did a good job of hiding it. You wont find it on a Google search or What I've seen in the Archives at Maxwell.

I'm in the process of going thru more pictures some during that time, but right now i dont but that can change the more I get in touch with others.

Hey Pat, did you guys help A/R fix that Front Windscreen on I'm pretty sure it was 9197 the one with the \"Golden BB\" hit? it hit almost smack dab in the middle of it, it was a early 76TH BD bird and was in the
\"Balloon \" hangar next to the Blast Fence.

That's right, it was an NO bird wasn't it. I remember that now you mention it. I remember hearing it, hell one of our teams had just been working nearby on some other NO birds repairing some minor damages when it happened. They tried to keep it hush hush then too so its no wonder we don't find it listed anywhere. A pic of the hole would be great though.

How about the trailer of bombs, the one they rolled off? That main one hell of noise. Man, these memories just keep flooding back.

Any photos you think would be a good addition to my site, that you'd want to send over, just let me know. Anything I post would of course be credited and linked back.

Are you talking about the \"Good Morning America\" Mishap? when the Civi. techs shot the Hellfire missle into the \"Cart\" storage?
I remember a MK-82 rolling off a wagon but it didnt go off, just made everyone \"SH$#! their pants.
When that Mav went into the wall my team was in the \"Charlie \" revetments, and it happened in the \"Dog revetment\", we caught the debris and smoke from the launch and thought we were under attack and put on our gear and your right it was LOUD!!!!!!

When Carl comes around he took the pictures, have to ask him, but I dont think he would mind.
He took his pictures down he had up of the \"BD\" birds and the hole.
I'll email him .

Yea yea that's the one. The MK-82's rolled right off the friggin trailer and made a hell of a racket. I need to add some of these stories to my site for 'historical' purposes since we can't find them anywhereelse on the net.

Hey speaking of the \"MK-82\" roll, were you around when the -57 canister got armed and started counting down?
One of the weapons troops put a screw driver in it to stop it.
Higgy (Dice knows him) Fort and Myself towed that A-10 out of the ICT spot so EOD could work on it.
They didnt tell us until we got there what happened, that was around the same time the MK-82 rolled off.

I still believe I got to be the Luckiest SOB because the AGM -65 that was fired and didnt go far enough to arm hit the wall of the \"Candy Store\" for those revetments you know where they stored all the \"Weapons\" for the ICT area being assembled by the Bomb Dump.

Gus (RED-2 driver) drove us down there and after the motor had stopped, after they all came out of HIDING in the Bunkers, showed us what was next door their were at least 3 stacks of MAV's and 4 bomb carts loaded, plus Ammo Boxes

We probably ALL would of not made it if the AGM-65 would of went off, according to the Lt after the Mishap briefing.
