Sky warrior thats the "Real First " evidence" of the Mishap, thanks.
Jpig, it happened I'm pretty sure after the war started because I didnt get back from the FOL until after the 1st of January and I didnt get my Team for the "Charlie Block" until right before the war started.
The other thing that sticks out is the MAV went into the wall of the "Candy Store" next to it(where they stored all the MAV's ,AMMO and Bombs" for the ICT's . It was Bomb dumps revetment , right there where
Charlie,Delta and FOX met there at the Taxi way .
So I dont know I remember the MK-82 , and Weapons on our end Armed a CBU-58 and stopped it with a screw driver from going off.
I got the job of towing that Jet out of the area.
But my mind is foggy as to when the Mav fired, I just know it was a Reservist who did it, because he had never been trained with "Live Missiles" before and did the TGM test without the TO.
I aways wondered if they had a map of KFIA with the revetments in place?

It was a Msgt. from NAS New Orleans who fired the Mav. It was a week or so after the war started, don't remember the exact date. He was using a ck list that allowed you to call up the mav and ck the video, all of us used it but never pressed the launch button. He said he turned to look at the mav and hit the button on accident. In his defense, the ignitor cable was still hooked up when he was checking it out. After that, all the ignitor cables were unhooked after that. 184 Ck good, sign it off.
