Not sure but if I had to guess I would say no. Maybe stress can weigh in on this one. I know it flew fewer than 50 times before it was retired. <img src="http://img117.imageshack.us/img117/457/bgnrjsiiw81q1gc.jpg" border=0> Gravity....its not just a good idea, its the law.

The only one, great story and info at Dice his site, is at Edwards afb. No engines today (holes) and in a good shape. It was first a single seater (first fly at February 15 1975) than after that made as a two-seater. Hopely we helped you. Salute Dutchy ------------------------ Termites do it in the dark! <img src=newicons/icon_hog.gif border=0 align=middle> Man can you just imagine an incentive ride as Fender mentions? Down and dirty with a couple strafing runs thrown in! Definately better than an Phantom, Falcon, Eagle, Talon or Tweet ride at altitude! I think the two ultimate rides would have to be a Hog Ride and an Aardvark Ride. Hog as described above and Aardvark definatley low and balls to the wall.<img src=newicons/anim_shock.gif border=0 align=middle> Aardvark super low and use TFR or not? Hmmm......

It may be slow but the riskl level at Tree top level is higher when your head is out of the feedbag an fixed on the topography. Add in the nav. and theirs enough to fry your brain and poke your eyeballs out looking for targets. Forgot about Bronco's.......yes should be an interesting hop. ALthough that prop looking to cut me in 1/2 in back seat always sorta scared me a little! <img src=icon_smile_dead.gif border=0 align=middle> When were you flying Bronco's in Germany? First ride i got was in a RF-101 with the RCAF at Cold Lake, OK RIDE. Later on picked up a ride in the A-7Ds with Arizona AirGuard.My F-15 flight at Tyndall was pretty good. But the best was the ride in a F-111F down across Scotland (TFR)and the North Sea(100 ft AGL) back down to RAF LAKENHEATH. But would have traded them all to ride in a A-10.

My P-3 ride was cool,I mean COLD!,temp down for the Computers,Tankers were cool rides KC-135 and KC-10 watching the re-fuelings. Huey's and Jolly Greens were cool, C-9'MedEvac was great for comfort and looking <img src=newicons/anim_shock.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_approve.gif border=0 align=middle>at the Flight Nurse's & MEDTech's<img src=newicons/anim_lol.gif border=0 align=middle>was a good ride. The C-21'SLears Jets were'nt that great,I rather Had the T-39 for a ride, But the Best ride was the C-140A JetStar ,Now that Girl was a smooth fast Baby,comfortable and if the gear didnt come down you had the hand jacks right there(in the floor pnl) and it took 50 strokes per gear to get them down.<img src=newicons/anim_shock.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=newicons/tard.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=newicons/anim_lol.gif border=0 align=middle> But I would of Loved an A-10 ride. Hey Carl did you go to NTC when we had the A-37'S with us?They gave the Op'S people rides but not us. that was 10/85. The TDY where "Rocky"(Paul) just about Kicked that 1LT from the Guard ass in the bar<img src=newicons/anim_cussing.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=newicons/pain10.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=newicons/madani.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=newicons/anim_furious.gif border=0 align=middle> and they broke it up. The reason was the 1LT made a comment about how the CrewChiefs wouldnt see any Fighting because they were "NON-COMBANTS" Now remember "Rocky served in NAM" and saw action from attacks on the base. So that and a Few Drinks spelled trouble<img src=newicons/anim_furious.gif border=0 align=middle>and He let him have it<img src=newicons/madani.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=newicons/anim_bs.gif border=0 align=middle>so thats when they broke-it-up! So maybe thats why we didnt get rides<img src=newicons/idea.gif border=0 align=middle> I highJacked thread sorry, I would love a 2 seater ride or a Bronco ride with Thud driving. Allot is Due to the fact that we didnt have primary 2 man crew NFO or system officers. We took Army AO's, Manuever commanders, radio Operators, TACP's, Medic's, Nurses, Doctors. The second is due to the nature of our work that was carried on from Vietnam. We even Ferried and deployed with our maintainers. It was a pretty simple brief. "Heres the Egress handles. We rarely travelled above 10,000 Feet unless we were crossing mountains. We were Just G.A. with a military callsign. IF we were setup for medevac litters. Well sucks to be them if we have to give it back to the taxpayers. As long as i'm flying to not kill myself, then it doesnt matter who was in the rear seat. The training mission enviroment was the only time we had restrictions, as you attempt to make the best use out of mission time with 2 Pilots or a Controller. In todays enviroment, flight time is mission time... It has became very very rare that incentive rides were given in the 15E or the 16D. We were totally restricted from having anyone in the DJ that wasnt a WSO. I would be suprised if they will even do it today. You pretty much have to be a public affairs reason. They dont support the value of giving back to the people that matter most to us.. the Maintainers. The guard may be the last opportunity for this. Dang Goose.......gonna make me dust off old brain cells for acft styles of rides! LOL Most of mine were in Aviano while in transient as we had alot of free time. Having never gotten a fighter ride<img src=icon_smile_sad.gif border=0 align=middle> these are best I can do! To list a few I remember C130 C141 C5 KC135 KC10 C9 T39 C21 British VC10, Taxied in a British Vulcan Bomber, damn near got the "E" ticket ride in the Vulcan, but they crew celled it off at last minute. Denmark acft I think it was...... I got 1/2 hr flight in a DC3......that was fun! Choppers......Huey UH1, CH46 CH47 HH3 HH53. Alot of the C9's and UH1's were touch and go's keeping hours current. A few places used our airfield due to minimal traffic and allowed to shoot the touch and goes all day. Army guys down south (Vincenza)used us at night, as their airfield closed at sundown. Had alot of night flights, and doing the combat landings in the Hueys. Dropping like a rock from 100 ft or so and bouncing across the airfield wasnt always fun but interesting to say the least! I am still with you and alot of others knowing that the <img src=newicons/icon_hog.gif border=0 align=middle>Warthog ride would have by far been the best! I guess second thoughts since earlier post........2 rides I would have enjoyed the most would be the Warthog and my last assigned acft. Last assigned acft I will leave unamed as it was a project on Nellis Range. 4477th TES "Red Eagles" for those that know the squadron. Squadron was shut down around time that the 117's were released to real life!

You talking about the Trip with the "Golden Flow"when we landed back home? I went on everyone that I was there for,plus the FT Ruker trips for AFLT. I knew that picture you sent was the last "CheckerFlag" trip because of the DAMN CHEM GEAR. Plus those Marine MCI's screwing with everyone. Hey Hogsnort, When I was the DCC on the AFCC ET-39 in PACAF,since the Jet was deamed "Urgent" and had priority on all maintance because of its mission, They flew in around Korea and "Slusher" must of wanted to stay with his "GirlFriend" they sheared both Starter Generators on the engines. I got a call about 20:00 from the NCOIC of the FLT and I was on a C-130 going to Osan AB at 22:00 and I was the only one besides the crew on it with the parts. The AC /Major told me "You can tell everyone you had a mission just for yourself and those 2 Boxes".<img src=icon_smile_approve.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=newicons/anim_bow.gif border=0 align=middle> Actual one of the best Herky Bird flights I ever had.
