Also applicable to anyone whose mode of commuting is the two-wheeled variety. Required on all DoD facilities, so are hands free cellular options NOW. It's about feakin' time on the latter. |

The reflective belt is not sufficent for riding a motorcycle on base. Read your local policy on required riding gear. Here at Shaw it cleary states the reflective belt does not meet the intent of the policy. MSF or ICON vest are best. I had to write a policy at kadena back in 93 for my squadron we lost 4 airman in 3 months due to accidents. We required the basic Full Reflective Vest and tape on the helmet. We also restricted motorcycles to E-5 and above. the biggerst problm we had was that from 10PM to 4 am their is no speed limit enforced on the Toll Ways. This is when all the Japanese came out street racing. It was a woman who drove me to drink, and I never had the courtesy to thank her for it. The cost of living has gone up another dollar a quart.Somebody left the cork out of my lunch. |

It is sufficient on Ft. Carson. I don't think it is, as I wear more, but I don't determine the policy here, I choose to exceed it to my standards when necessary. |
