Nice collection. I see some new patcher for me and a lot of what I have. You must be proud of this collection. Keep going on.

I'd love to lay out my collection, but with over 700 Hawg patches, I just don't have the room! I would like to post the pics of them on-line somewhere, but most on-line sites are a PITA to load pics to. Does anyone know an easy way to load up a ton of JPGs???

I have all but about two of those, that "Lightning 103rd PA ANG" one is really nice, if you ever decide to trade/sell it, let me know. And just a note, the 81st didn't fly the Hawg when they were a TFS, just as a FS. That "SAM Busters" patch is from their Wild Weasel F-4G days. I am not 100% sure about the 21 TFS patch, they may be the same (flying Hawgs only as a FS, not a TFS).

I still think this forum needs a dedicated patch section!

Cheers! M2

By the way, if you are looking for a great patch collectors web site, try:

www.USAFpatches.com

Have you tried Photobucket.com or Imagedump.com ? They are both free, but I don't recall how much space you get. I have an account with the first one, no problems.

Growler

I was using a PhotoBucket account, but then it got hosed up and trying to start again from scratch is too much of a hassle. I would have to load up each pic individually, and I don't have time to do that for 700+ pics. I was thinking about creating a web site from one of those free hosts (such as MySpace) but I haven't gotten around to finding out which one is the easiest to use. I am no web guru...

OK Bryan, I am willing to give it a try. I just emailed you pics of my first 100 patches, it is just under 10 MB but I sent the smaller images as the full sized ones would have been over 25 MB. If you want to try hosting them, feel free. Let me know if this works, and I can send you the rest in batches of 100. Otherwise I could just mail you a CD-ROM with all the pics!

Cheers! M2

Nice patches...did the 22 TASTS fly Hogs? I thought they flew OV-10s.

Coach

Unlike some collectors, I am not necessarily too hardcore in the A-10 connection with all of my patches. There are some that are for units "connected" to the Hawg and not exactly flying it themselves. I believe the 22 TASTS fell into this category, at least according to the guy who sent me the patches. I would expect that is through their TACP mission. Might be a stretch, but there are probably a few more in my collection whose "connection" gets even looser!

Skuz9c1, I tried to mail you a (old) photo of mine collection. But I received that back. I will try later this weekend. The collection is now a little bit bigger, but I have to make a new photo.
And that photobucket, it looks good.

Salute Dutchy

Updated!

Dutchy: how big is the file you were trying to send? above, 30 MB may be too much, plus, did you send to: Skuz9c1@comcast.net

takes me about 40 min from opening the email to finish posting the pics. if majormadmax could zip the folders like i asked him to do in my email, i could do it in half the time

Sorry man, never got the email. I will compress the next batch, I thought the email compression would work better but we'll see with the next round...

Not sure if I am screwing this up or not, but I zipped the next 100 patch images and the resulting folder was 27MB large. The last email I sent was only 10MB. Are you sure you still want them compressed, or is there some other way of doing this?

Cheers! M2

Hi all

Mmmmmmmm........ Patches...........

Thought I'
d just throw a couple into the mix. I only collect 81st TFW related stuff, so heres some of my rarer A-10 patches

<img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v680/Warthog81/81TFW-ReadyThunder-2.jpg" border=0>

<img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v680/Warthog81/91TFS-StreaksPersianExcursion-1.jpg" border=0>

<img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v680/Warthog81/81TFW-4SqdnGaggle.jpg" border=0>

NB. None of these patches are actual size, this is to throw the fakers....

Enjoy

Jon
