Yeah, somebody painted some big, ugly Phoenix noseart on the summabitch! I've seen that a/c up close and personal, and the noseart (which never was on the jet when it flew) is hideous. I believe that Hawg got badly bent somehow and it was rebuilt, but never certified to fly again; hence the "Phoenix." BUt I can't remember the details. I am sure someone else with a better memory will pipe up shortly... At least it is foggy out, so you know it is the UK! <img src=icon_smile_tongue.gif border=0 align=middle> Cheers! M2 |

The guy ran off the end of the runway, hit the barrier housing and broke the spine of the aircraft. It was unrepairable, so they put it on the sticks. That's the short story. Coach |

Last time I saw this hog it was in need of some TLC and a fresh coat of paint. This is the one we would like to gain for the museum on Bentwaters. The good news is this is a 6 biscuit wedding. The bad news is we only have 5 biscuits!" |
